Here is the dilemna- I don't like wearing dresses...It just isn't comfortable to me and I am sorta glad I don't ever have to wear a dress again if I don't want to.... But.... I don't necessarily want to dress like a guy either... :/ Many of my classmates are going to a semi-formal banquet, and I really would like to attend, but I am so nervous as to what to wear. I'm wondering if there is a girly way to wear a tie or something--- or some way to 'girl up' a typical guys outfit to a semi-formal..... any suggestions?
Wear female business attire? A pant suit? https://www.storesonlinepro.com/files/1824369/uploaded/Dark-PantsSuit%20Newest.jpg If you wanted to wear a tie, wear a flash female one? I have one that's navy blue with light blue stars and it's silk. It's not necessarily masculine or feminine. And if you didn't want to lose the femininity, then wear jewlery, shoes and makeup (eyeliner, mascara etc). Or a scarf? Not a winter scarf, but those cloth scarves. They can be used like a tie but are still feminine even with female pant suits or business attire. http://store.soliscompany.com/woweti.html
I would suggest maybe a smart business suit, with a feminine twist - so a pink/purple/lilac shirt or suit or something
i also think i smart suit is a great idea. some women i must say look really good in a suit. i have a picture in my head too and would post it if i knew who it was thats in that pic. but i bet you would like it.
I second the idea of a pants suit. I love suits and I get to wear them a lot because of my job. Just look at her:http://l.yimg.com/l/tv/us/img/site/10/64/0000061064_20090910164907.jpg Of course, you can make it more feminine, with a bright shirt and/or a tie. :smilewave
Option 1: You could tough out a dress? Find one that isn't so uncomfortable. Option 2: What is said above.
Hi! Feminine pant suits are really popular right now and are viewed as both professional and chic. In order to make sure your suit looks more feminine than masculine, pay particular attention to the cut and the fit. The pants should not be as baggy and blocky as they are on men's suits. Check out these pants: http://www.modelinia.com/_content/slideshows/301/images/suits.jpg If you don't want to wear a jacket, get a shirt like this: http://www.myfashioncents.com/files/2010/01/Silk-georgetee-tie-neck-blouse-Ann-Taylor-88.jpg or like this: http://www.damnilikethat.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/silk-tie-neck-blouse.jpg If you do want to wear a jacket, make sure it is fitted at the waist: http://www.lifeinitaly.com/images/img/image004.jpg is the basic silhouette you want. http://cache3.asset-cache.net/xc/91...A5DEA055BAE670E4547FBE77A815CE30A760B0D811297 is a cool style variation. http://www.palmerpletsch.com/assets-PP/ppweb-patterns/M5597group.jpg is yet another version. Of course, rules are meant to be broken. You can totally get away with using a masculine-cut suit and still look feminine, especially if you have a cute shirt underneath: http://www2.victoriassecret.com/images/prodpri2/V288003.jpg Here are some reviews of feminine suits you can buy at Macy's: http://reviews.macys.com/7129/21787...-reviews/category.htm?sortOrder=avgRatingDesc
