It was fine for same-sex to go to the prom. Only my friend and her girlfriend at the time went, but sadly no date for me :frowning2:

pfft at my school i cant imagine it happening. they havent specifically said anything against it i just think someone would be too scared and we're only allowed to bring someone from our school so yeah :S it would be really unlikely...

There wasn't any evidence of this at the two proms i had. Probably because there was only one guy who was out as gay at the time (Not myself). I think it would have been accepted on the schools part, but some of the people there might have made an issue of it, at least at the younger one.

I didn't go to our prom, but the other gay kid who did go went with a girl. He did win prom king & then some dumb ass yelled out "We want a prom king not a queen." :frowning2:

My christian school would've allowed it. well jesuit. just buy two tickets! at my school you didn't have to tell them who you were going with anyway.. so yeah it would've been fine

    How rude!

I actually ended up going to my prom. I went with a group of friends. I didn't see any same-sex couples dancing.

The guy got booed by everyone else so that was nice to hear. I was going to ask him to go, but I never worked up the courage.

My friend brought a guy a few years back. I don't recall any recent same sex couples. I intend on bringing a guy to my senior prom, but first I have to find said guy.
In honesty, gays at my school use their date as a way to sneak a recent grad or an underclassman in.

At my school it's fine to come to prom as a same-sex couple, a friend of mine and her gf came this year and nobody said anything about them. I was actually kinda surprised i didn't think people at my school would be that accepting.

In Hungary we don't even have proms:grin:
I mean not in the American sense. We of course have a ball, but there's no invite-a-pair-you-choose thing. Everybody just goes. I'd love if we had American-stlye proms tho, I'd totally go with my bf (ok, i don't even have one yet, but im hoping:grin:), okay, I guess we'd be stoned or just beaten to hell, and the headmaster and even some teachers would be among the stoners, but hey, it'd be worth it for me

When I was in 8th grade my sister was a senior and she took her girlfriend (at the time) to homecoming. I guess nobody gave a shit which is cool. And it's a private/catholic school lol.

Then again at my freshman year homecoming dance people were getting drunk and "making a sandwhich" with our religion teacher and some guys were goofing around and grinding up on each other lmfao. The prom king that year also got drunk right before he was crowned and was escorted out afterwards lol.

The only dance I ever went to was homecomming at my last school after I moved. XD

I was going to go as a date with another guy, but they didn't let us, so I went with my friend Jenn then hooked up with the other guy at the dance. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

They wouldn't see tickets to gay couples..but they didn't care if two guys danced together..

At my prom there was a same sex couple and nobody really cared, but I have to say they were boring buggers, they did not even have a dance on the dance floor. I would have I hade a boyfriend then (back then I thort i was straight)

If I had a bf at the time of my dance I would of dragged him along. ^_^ Would be the first person in the history of my school to do so. xD No one would really care ether.

Would say it would be looked down on where i went to school. But then proms and such like were never my thing. I hate those sort of formal plastic type occasions. But each to there own.

Just to add i would have 100% support for anyone that that did do it.
