Also, Mega Stones were confirmed by The Pokemon Company as tradeable.

I'm quite impressed by how this dex is looking! Sure they're a few that are pretty crappy (Barbaracle, Hawlucha), but a lot I think are really great (Pancham, Bergmite,Inkay and malamar, although I would've like the last two to be water/psychic).

I really liked the 3 starters and the second evolutions. The third ones I HATED, but now I've seen Greninga from a few different views and I quite like it! Chestnaught is alright and Delphox looks great, so they're really growing on me!

One thing I'm really NOT impressed by is the mega-evolutions! I don't even think they look that good! And they make it seem like Digimon!

Those pics are apparently all the pokemon of Kalos. (Aside from Noivern's pre-evo which is absent from the list).

Chespin is #650, Yveltal is #717. Meaning we have about 70-72 new pokemon, taking into account ~5 extra legendaries not counting Xerneas/Yveltal.

They really disappoint me. I don't know any pokemon fan who would take the ~20 new mega evolutions over 30-50 new pokemon/actual evolutions/pre-evos. Mega Mawile could have been a regular evo for Pete's Sake.

Now, it's possible they decided to add non-legendaries after the version mascots for the first time, but severely unlikely.

Which also leaves Sylveon as the only new pokemon in an old evolution line, Diggersby as the ONLY new Ground type and the Vivillon line as the ONLY new bug types. (though, based on the stats, Vivillon seems like she might have competitive use. It's stats seem way better than any of the other Butterfly pokemon)

I agree. I would have preferred more pokemon than mega's. I said I'm not impressed by the mega's, but I was lying. The truth is. I ABSOLUTELY DETEST THEM! Don't get me wrong I'm not one of those moany gen oners that complain about all the new pokemon, I love most the the new ones!

The thing is though, do we really need that many new introductions? We'll be up to what? 750? I haven't even trained most of those, as I tend to stick to my favourites. We've got a pretty extensive range to choose from.

The thing I'm annoyed about, is that they haven't yet made a MOSQUITO POKEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It'd be the perfect bug type trio for a new gen!

    First evo: https://www.google.com.au/search?um...st-of-bugs%2Fmosquito-larvae-wriggler;250;431

    Second evo: https://www.google.com.au/search?um...10%2Fkeajaiban-penciptaan-nyamuk.html;516;443

    Third evo: https://www.google.com.au/search?q=...2F12%2F2870182.htm%3Fsite%3Dkimberley;840;504

    WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR!!!!???????

This is why Mega Evolutions were a bad idea:

    http://i.imgur.com/eNMmfKF.jpg

It has 298 sp. attack without any EVs at level 70.

Smogon estimates it's base special attack has to be close to Blissey's HP or Shuckle's Defense/Sp. Defense.

Which means it will cap out around 600 sp. attack when you have a +sp attack Nature, 31 Sp.Atk IV and 252 EVs.

    Maybe.
    1) gameplay will be a lot harder in X/Y.
    2) you can only choose one Pokemon to 'mega' in the whole game?

1.) I'm referring to player vs player battling. Not in game. I have literally beaten the entire game with Kricketune before.

2.) One per battle, not game.

Also, it's base Special Attack is 192. Which means it will cap out around 650 special attack. For comparison, regular Mewtwo only caps at 442 special attack.

Hey I'm really liking the starters this time. Innovative type pairing, grass/fight, fire/psychic and water/dark

Also, I wonder if they'll change the former form system (Sky Forme Shaymin, Origin Form Giratina etc) to match the way mega evolutions operate.

No. I meant I've beaten a pokemon before with just Kricketune.

    I don't even have a 3DS silly Sully. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
