New Pokemon to be revealed on Wednesday! Apparently it is an evolved Pokemon. Personally, I'd like to see Helioptile's evolved form.

Well, not Spritzee. Probably the least expected one for me, personally. Introducing Doublade!

(Double + Blade, obviously, but when pronounced, to me it sounds like "Da Blade" like Honedge is "On Edge" XD)



But it's ribbon is fucking pink. Hell yes. xD I may have the steel/ghost for my in game team. Dunno. I have years to plan.

Known moves: Swords Dance (duh), Shadow Sneak, and Aerial Ace.

Kind of a let down, to be honest. I was expecting Sword + Shield, or like a suit of armor. But eh, at least the ribbons are pink.

 

That's...uhh....wow. Well, that's certainly a pokemon... *Blinks*

not saying it looks bad but i'm disappointed this is the one we see the evolution of. to be honest i thought it was going to be one of those pokemon that wont get an evolution this game, like magmar and mr mime.

 

It's interesting. It seems to be becoming a coat of arms, which is pretty cool. Hope it has a third form to see it through.

I'm a little disappointed in Doublade - it's not bad (I like it better than other conglomerates like Magneton and Dugtrio for example) but I think they've missed an opportunity to do something really cool - you could do a lot with a sword poke.
Though it'd be nice if it got an ability like MegaKangashkan where moves hit twice.

However if this is just an awkward middle stage evolution and it gets a third and final stage, that would be really cool. They'd have to work 'three' or 'triple' into the name though to keep the pattern (Tripier?)

 

I was also expecting something different, however something tells me that the third stage of the line will reward us with a nice surprise. I liked the idea of coat of arms mentioned earlier. Either way, I just hope it's not going to be three identical-looking swords attached to each other :O

 

For any anime fans: The Unova version ended in Japan today. As there's no spoilers in Ash's pokemon from where it is in the US right now to where it ended, I have no issue posting the picture from the final scene, where Delia walks into the house and puts up a pic of Ash and his pokemon.

Japan's only about 12 episodes ahead now, (3 months). Though, we will receive the first 2 episodes of the XY series 2 days after it airs in Japan. I assume sometime during XY or the next generation we may even see a simultaneous anime release like the games are changing to. The dub of the newest movie will also air the same day as the sneak preview of the XY dub.



Next week in Japan is a Cilan/Brock special episode, along with the Beginnings Special. Then the Kalos episodes begin. (In Japan. )
