Also some sort of "Pokemon Bank" thing that you have to pay for and allows you store Pokemon online.

 

The mega starters are amazing. Pokemon Bank is actually really cool. It's an annual fee and cheap as shit. Plus there's a free trial until February and you can cancel after transferring your stuff over. Pretty sweet stuff.

 

Mega Charizard is slaying me.

 

Doesn't matter if it's cheap or not, having to pay to transfer your pokemon from one game to another is fucked up. I know $5 a year is dirt cheap, but it's still fucked up. Should give EVERYONE a few days of a free trial when they input their X or Y barcode or something. I know Nintendo has a way of doing that, as that's how you get Nintendo Points. Not just people who have the means to buy the game/system in the first couple months.

Sure, the people who get the game when it's released get a trial, but the ones who get it later have to pay if they want to move it.

Anyway, the Pokemon Direct also unintentionally revealed a new pokemon: Absol Pre-evo maybe?



I also derped for like 5 minutes and was like "Also, how are people with the original DS supposed to get the program to send pokemon to the cloud?" Then realized if you have X and Y, you have a 3DS. Lol.

I like MegaVenusaur, though it honestly looks like all they did was shove a flower on it's head. And Mega Charizard... I usually hate Charizard, but I actually like the Mega look. Kind've like Mewtwo. xD

 

There are two apps- Pokémon Bank and Pokémon Transfer. You get Transfer when you download bank and it's the one that lets you go from G5 to G6.
I don't think it requires a subscription unlike Bank though you do need an internet connection to use it.

 

From everything we've heard, they both require the subscription.

If not, disregard my last post. But from what we've heard, it does.

 

"When you download Pokémon Bank, you can also download the linked application Poké Transporter! When you insert a Pokémon Black Version, Pokémon White Version, Pokémon Black Version 2, or Pokémon White Version 2 Game Card into a Nintendo 3DS system, you'll be able to use Poké Transporter to transfer Pokémon from these games into their own online Boxes. Then, you can easily transfer those Pokémon into Pokémon X and Pokémon Y using Pokémon Bank!

Poké Transporter is a free downloadable application for the Nintendo 3DS system that will be available along with Pokémon Bank. Note that Poké Transporter cannot return Pokémon to Pokémon Black Version, Pokémon White Version, Pokémon Black Version 2, or Pokémon White Version 2 after they have been stored in an online Box."

So the Transporter app is free to use, but it puts the Pokemon in the online Bank which means you won't be able to access them if you haven't paid the fee to use it.
(or so it seems)

 

Yes, so a subscription is required.

You can send them online with the transfer system, but then you can't access them on either game until you pay the subscription.

 

The Transporter app is one way, so you wouldn't be able to get them back onto the gen5 games even if you had subscribed.

 

I am aware of that.

I just find it fucked up that they allow you to put your pokemon in limbo and have no way to get them to the game you put them in limbo to get them on without paying extra.

 

There is a month free trial which you can use to do your transferring and then leave it alone forever.

 

Which is only present if you get the game before February 2014.

Woah megablastoise looks badass! I'm not sure whether I'd use any of the kanto starters In the main story though, much rather try out the new pkmn. Genuinely can't wait for this game, it's gonna b epic!

Joltik is really small.
I can fit one on my palm, one handed.

 

Flabebe is just as small.

And is much lighter. It's tied for smallest with Joltik and lightest with Ghastly and Haunter.

 

What did they change about Venusaur? Give it a hair ornament?
