The world would be so much better without religion

 

What about the people who escape secular death camps with faith in religion to keep them strong?

 

It's so easy to throw a blanket of criticism over the billions of religious people over the world from the comfort of a minority secular bubble, but I'm pretty sure that religion is actually most of the time quite an amazing thing. I'd go as far as to say it may have been necessary to building the modern world.

 

Without religion there probably wouldn't have been death camps. Religious people are bound to religion it controls them. If there wasn't religion people wouldn't fight over which god is right or not. In my opinion people who are devoutly religious or whatnot are fools. I can't stand religion I refuse to believe in some so called god when there isn't proof that it exists and I know religion is about faith but I find faith pointless when it is put in something as ridiculous as religion. But hey thats just my opinion

Well the combine went great except for me throwing up.........yeah didn't see that one coming.

 

That was a joyous occasion. Pushing my dad partners car down to road to bump start it! She went and left something on so a nice flat battery! ¬¬

I agree. People have the right to their own beliefs, just like you have the right to your own lack of them.

And not every religious person is a nutjob, you know. There ARE people who can believe in God and still be normal, rational people. Believe it or not, there are a lot of them on this forum, including myself. So saying that all religious people are fools who let their own beliefs control them is both offensive and incorrect.

 

Just got the last series of Star Trek: Voyager on DVD. >.>;

 

and now I'm jealous

 

I'm thinking how I could jump in and discuss religion in this thread now, but I'm just too damn lazy.
