Is tha rainbow a good symbol?

I love the rainbow symbol shows how we are all different but joined some how at least thats how i see it i may have totally missed the point

Purple!

 

Some women embrace the labrys, a double-sided axe, as their lesbian symbol. Supposedly the amazons used them and Gina Gershon's character in Bound has one as a tattoo. My ex has one tattooed inbetween her shoulder blades for this reason.

 

& I say purple because the rainbow is not gay without purple and also because the "gay" teletubby is purple.

I kinda dig the upside down triangle as a more subtle gay symbol, though its a bit like being an adulterer and wearing a red A. Here's what wikianswers has to say about it:
