See, but this is one of those occasions where, you have to say to yourself and also be honest with yourself in saying, "this time I can't get what I want, so I have to move on." Applying "I am going after what I want" to this particular situation, is not going to do you any favours. For one, in "getting what you want," the other person must also want it, which he does not. Two, you already know the answer, no matter how much you go after what you want.

Yes, go after what you want in life, but there are times where you have to admit to yourself that this is not going to work and you have to shift gears. You have tried it. You realized it's not going to work out. Shift gears and try to find someone who wants to go out with you.

Don't put your energy into things that will not work out. Put your energies into things that will work out down the road, i.e. put your energy into trying to find someone that will want to go out with you.
