I've recently finished re-reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. It's a good read about female desire for independence.

It's a bit long, but good to read if you have a spare week (or 2).

The last book I read all the way through was How Music Works by David Byrne of Talking Heads fame. I'm currently in the middle of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, though.

I red book called Son of hell from Michaela Burdová (gl reading that name xd). It´s pretty nice and kinda reminds me of fairytales.

    The Great Gatsby

There is no word in existence that can express my hatred for this book.

Freaking Gatsby. Ugh. Just finished reading it for school as well. God that book is awful.
The last book I actually chose to read would be At the Gates of Darkness by Raymond E. Feist.

What are you talking about?! 'The Great Gatsby' is freaking amazing! I mean if you skip the introduction, you're already 1/3 through the book! I highly prefer the book to the movie, although the movie was okay as well.

'and so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past' (or something like that)

I just finished '13 reasons why'. I don't really like it. I prefer the netflix show. And I don't know if i've ever said that before when comparing a book and the movie or show.

I'm with you on that one, the last two books I've had the exact same feeling about it; the first was 13RW and the second was "The Lovely Bones"- there was honestly only one scene in which I think the book did more justice than the film, honestly, I think the film would have saved me the time because it was superior in it's portrayal and overall mood.

    The Jungle by Upton Sinclair.

One of the best books I have read thus far this year!

I'm just finishing "All the Light We Cannot See," by Anthony Doerr. Fascinating, and terribly well written.

Kingdom Keepers. It's a great series, don't judge me! I just finished book 7 and now I'm trying to decide if I want to get right into the second series or choose one of the many other unread books that I still have on my shelf.

The Choice by Nicholas Sparks [movie > book]
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
    Starstruck by H.L. Logan

I completely agree but also had I read the book before watching the series, I might have a different opinion. The book just seemed so slowly drawn out whereas the series kept me more on my toes if that makes sense.
