Jase Robertson from Duck Dynasty. His biography. Now I'm reading "American Gun" by Chris Kyle. Next is "The Duck Commander Family" by Willie and Korie Robertson.

The 100 by Kass Morgan (if that is the right book what did they base the TV series on?)

Flann O'Brien's The Third Policeman. When I started reading the novel, which is a (very) dark comedy, I wasn't sure if I would like it all that much but I got really into it, despite its themes of death and existence. Thinking of continuing to read Flann O'Brien's works.

The Round House by Louise Erdrich. Fantastic book, read it for my American literature survey class.

    White Hurricane by David Brown

It's about the deadliest storm in history to affect The Great Lakes. My family has a camp on Lake Ontario (which wasn't affected by this storm) but it's interesting regardless.

I just finished A Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness which is the 2nd book in her All Souls Trilogy. It is such an interesting read, she is an historian as well as an author so you learn as you read about vampires witches and demons! I highly recommend them!

It's the story of Sigfried and Kriemhild's love and then her revenge for her husband's death; it's after all the story with the dragon, unfortunately. I'm going to see where can I find that story, I'd like to know more about (I didn't study anything of Norse mythology at school, so I'm trying to recover now :lol:slight_smile:. Also I'd like to find other myths versions, I've read only a kind of recap about the Norse gods :icon_redf

Kriemhild isn't in the norse mythology Siegfried ends up with brunhild there.

I was just interested because i didn't knew it was spread that wide (i mean Italy wow...) i actually live in Worms so the city lives of the tourism coming from it.
We actually had to read the original version in old German at some point in school..

Lol You're reading the right book... It sucks--big time! Am I allowed to say that on here? *checking* I even bought the audio version on Audible.com before I found out how much it sucked. Big mistake. lol The show is way better than the book!

I finished reading the Legend trilogy by Marie Lu yesterday(?) and am currently on Life Before Legend--half way through. It's a really short read.

Thank you, you clarified me a doubt: I had heard the Siegrfied&Brunhild story so I was quite confused when I read the Kriemhild&Siegfried one, where Brunhild marries Gunther. It's a different version of Siegried's adventures? So, if I understood, the Siegried&Brunhild is a myth, whereas the Nibelug I read is epical literature, right? Excuse the complete ignorance, but I've just started this new interest :icon_redf

In Italy we study a lot Greece/Roman mythology and so in the end we don't know anything about Norse culture, we barely study English literature (and trust me, we usually study it very badly). I started to read it because of Tolkien, and now I'm trying to bridge that gap.
I find very cool that you live in Worms

Wuthering Heights by Emeli Bronte, I had to read it for school last year along with Cathcher in The Rye. Reading TCiTR was probably my most painful experience (The main character was such a fucking prick) but I thought wuthering heights was brilliant and I read it again just for enjoyment recently. Those two books and the Harry potter series are the only ones I've ever read in full.
