In a land of plenty by Tim Pears.

I bought it years ago as I really liked the tv series, and had started reading it at least twice, but this time I actually did read the whole thing (600 pages give or take). It's a bit slow sometimes but there are many different characters, a few gay ones too, and it shows societal changes in England by means of a family saga. So, all in all a good read, I thought.

A Game Of Thrones by Mr Martin. Amazing writer, but has a habit of letting me get attached to characters then killing them off. Asshole. Tyrion Lannister and Bronn may be my favorites...but then I guess they're my only favorites still alive....

Finished reading The Professor and the Siren by Giuseppe Tomasi Di Lampedusa.

I really enjoyed reading the three short stories that are set in Sicily at turn of the century. I liked how Lampedusa wove folklore, culture, landscapes, and the waning of the land aristocracy into the storyline. The stories, "The Professor and the Siren," "Joy and the Law," and "The Blind Kittens" are some of the best short stories I have read.

I just read "the blood of Olympus" by rick riodan and it was a little underestimating. Not as powerful as the other books. But nico d'agelos story in the book helped me come out to myself

Did you enjoy it? I've been thinking of reading this in the near future, it'd be my first Murakami.
