First book of Cormac McCarthy's Border trilogy, All the Pretty Horses. Though it's not a book I was "wowed" by, found that it seems to have had a subtle, lingering effect on my mind. Manages to find a balance between coming-of-age innocence and world-weary bleakness while neither being entirely one or the other the entire time. In a way, very different [at least less violent] than No Country but still containing a similar worldview. Looking forward to, hopefully, reading the next volume sometime in the near future.

Not read that one but I would have to say that from a Buick 8. Seems to be a lot more surreal than most of his other stories.

Currently I'm reading pride and predjudice and zombies. Getting all excited over the image of Mr.Darcy that I'm making in my head.

I also like most of Terry Pratchets novels.

Lolita by Vladimir Nabakov. I have to say, I found it to be a bit...empty. It was certainly entertaining, but something about it felt sort of detached.

I just finished reading "Of Human Bondage" by W. Somerset Maugham, which was amazing. However last night I also read my favorite book "The book of Lost Things" by John Connolly.

"Outing yourself" - Michelangelo Signorile - an "ok" book that need to be updated as it was written in 95, things were just a bit different (I was cringing a bit at the references to "computer bulletin boards"). Principles are still relevant even though the context is a bit out-of-place now. Reminds me to check pub dates before buying books now hehe.

Last book I sat down and completely read was A Vampire Lestat. It's the closest thing to gay romance that I'm willing to read (considering the rest of gay romance, or the ones I've read at least, are depressing, and regular romance is so cheesy I want to puke just from the summary on the back).

Last book I really started reading and got mostly done with was Bram Stoker's awesome book Dracula (which, after Anne Rice's drama, was sooo refreshing). People find this hard to read? I found it harder to put down...

But technically, the last book I was reading was the one that my parents' wrote and 80% of why I was reading was to make sure that they didn't make me the stupid one in their "based off of actual characters" zombie book... I really didn't like it, BUT that's just because I have no taste in zombie books. Others seem to enjoy it.
