This thread has made me laugh so much. I'm looking at my hands and they are both super gay! That just proves it then! But actually its got more to do with testosterone levels exposed in the womb...ie the more testosterone the longer the ring finger. So technically this little experiment should only stand for girls. If you were trying to prove the finger length difference in gay boys then you would expect a longer index finger...not a ring finger. But none of this really matters. You know if you're gay, straight, dodecahedron whatever...so no worries. Your fingers dont prove a thing.
So I just pulled out my calipers and there is a less that 2mm difference on both hands. Considering that I was doing the measuring myself, I would say that falls the margin of error for equal length. From what I understood that from the above link is that in males the correlation is not statically significant.
for a while i thought the right finger was supposed to be longer than the middle finger... im kinda dumb that way, so i was like... thats not true for anybody!!! but mine are.
My ring fingers are longer (particularly my left one). Maybe this is the solution to all my sexuality-related confusion!!! If only it were that simple... "Mum, I just thought you should know, I'm a lesbian - my ring fingers told me so"
