    Misuses of "effect" and "affect".

    Misuses of "lie" and "lay".

When people don't pronounce the "h" in "human".

When people pronounce "caramel" as "carmel".

That's cause they're saying it incorrectly, it should be "couldn't care less".

HELL YES. It drives me insane. If you 'could care less' about something, you clearly care about it to some extent.

    Gogol, or mongol, or triso

All these words are insults based on 21 Down's syndrome. I can't stand people using them. I even did a lecture in my class about these insults and forbid my pupills to use any of these words.

I really hate it when people steal my bizarre words and phrases and fag ticks me off as well. However, I tend to be ok with people using gay in a derogatory context.

Moist is the worst word in the history of the English language.

    Also, fondle.

It irritates the hell out of me when people say oh eight hundred .... there are no letters when dialing a number it is zero, ZERO I tell you not oh!!! What is wrong with people :tantrum:

Oh and another thing in French when people say car' bleu, it is carte bleu with an E at the end so you pronounce the T breaking the word into two syllables. Even the damn Frenchies managed to get it wrong... only some of them though!

And don't we all know it!

Mine has got to be..... "innit". What is the point of tagging something on the end of a sentence that doesn't even need to be there and isn't proper grammar anyway?

one of the things i find most annoying is the wrong use of the word ironic!!

'Have you seen that new tv programme?'
'yeah, ironically i was watching is last night'
thats not ironic!! its just coincidental lol...grrrr

and the other one is the use of the word 'literally'.
eg 'i literally died', tho i know im guilty of using it like that myself but it annoys me. i sometimes like to take the piss by saying 'metaphorically' instead of 'literally' eg 'i metaphorically died', tho maybe that makes me sound a tad pretentious :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
