i have been on the coming out journey since christmas time and i have to say just to give people encouragement it has been no where near as bad as i thought it might be, most people have said well about time too. i know this isnt everyones experience but take strength from the fact that there are people in the world who dont care what race, religion or sexulaity you are. What negative comments you may be recieving will pass in life, make sure you stick with people who radiate energy not people who drain it. Radiators not Drains. Love you all (*hug*)

I think you just have to remain positive thats all you can do. A POSITIVE ATTITUDE MIGHT NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM.. BUT IT WILL NAFF OFF ENOUGH PEOPLE TO MAKE IT WORTH THE EFFORT (&&&)
ooh and my parents and they were really cool about it my mum even wanted to know if i had a partner how cool is that. (&&&)
YAY! Congrats, John! I myself was pleasantly surprised to find that all of my fears about coming out were for nothing. I mentally prepared myself for the worst, just KNOWING that I would lose family members and friends, but instead, the family didn't go anywhere, and in fact I've MADE so many more friends than I ever had in my life, most likely because I have finally been able to be myself!! People (straight or gay) notice that. Yes, there were a few (a total of two, I think) who I don't think have been very accepting and have sorta dropped out of my life, AND I still have to tell my mother (long story), but otherwise it's been the best thing that's ever happened to me! PS: my ex-wife thinks it's great too; I think that she somehow always knew.
indeed they always do, i feel so much better now less stressed and i think ive finally kicked the cold ive had since christmas (stress related me think). Love you all as ever(&&&)
