    Well you know whats really weird I decided while I was bored at work today that make a thread about this topic when I got home. Now I'm home I see one was started at the time i randomly got the idea to start one. lol.
    I was thinking about this a bit today, i would rather him have a different (exciting) name but if he is otherwise bf material then the name wouldn’t stop me.

    Yea, but I wondered about if you would just have them call you both mom or dad, but that would be confusing. I guess it depends on the people.

    I dated someone with a name extremely similar to mine, and since most people mispronounce my name it was essentially dating someone with they same name.

    Yeah, sure. If they were worthy of such an awesome name. :lol:

    Side note: I call my biological mom "Mom" and her partner "mommydoo" because her name is Jill but when my sister was little she couldn't say "mommy jill" so she said mommydoo. It just sort of stuck.

    I'll be completely honest. About a year ago I had a mutual emotional attraction with a guy also named Nick, but I chose not to pursue it for a few reasons (like that I didn't want to screw with our friendship). But the #1 reason, by far, was because we share the same name.

    I probably would. Although Jasmine is an uncommon name where I live, so chances are slim that I'd meet another Jasmine. But if I did I'd totally date her. Everyone calls me Jazz anyways, even most of my teachers, so it wouldn't be "the same" exactly.

    I wouldn't let the name stop me but it would be weird, everyone just calls me car, or one of my other 9 nicknames, I counted, I will answer to 10 different nicknames/names, since grade 8, I've even answered to dan...
