What about you FITS a gay stereotype?

- I really hate shopping for clothes, especially with other women. I never know how to carry myself or what to do, exactly, and I get tired/bored very quickly.
- I don't wear dresses unless I really have to.
- I never wear makeup, ever.
- I don't own or wear high heels.
- I wear comfy clothes. Who cares how they go together?
- A good number of the classes I took in college were populated by males.
- I can fix my own computer in most cases. (do those last two points just make me a geek? :/ )

 

The only thing I can think of is the way I dress, I refuse to wear dresses, skirts, high, heels ect, they just make me look all awkward cos I basically walk like dude.

But apart from them I actually fit more gay male steroetypes, as in; I love musicals, I'm arty, I hate sports, and I act really hyper and flamboyant. I've also got into the habit of say 'bitch please'. I don't know why.

 

OK so since I first read this I keep on finding more, so this is my third post: for the past two days, I keep on singing (mostly in my head) "I feel pretty" from the musical "West Side Story":icon_redf

 

Hyper's a stereotype? Oh in that case count me in! But there are many straight dudes who act hyper. And I know a lot of straight females who have masculine tastes/don't like dresses.

 

Ok, well not really hyper but like, outgoing/funny/flamboyant. Think Jack from Will and Grace.

And yeah, I know there are straight girls who don't like dresses or whatever, but remember, I'm going on the stereotypes here, not actual people.

Singing, dancing, playing the piano, all of the above
I make perverted jokes^^

What's wrong with them?

 

-I like girls (that seems to be the important one)
-I have short hair
-I have my eyebrow pierced (I had 2 at one point)
-I don't wear dresses or skirts
-I wear guys clothes
-I have tools under my bed
-I hate girlie movies
-I keep my fingernails short

 

I don't like shopping (and I hate shopping for clothes)
I don't really wear make-up

However, I do now have long hair and do sometimes wear jewellery, I like romantic comedies and can't do anything practical, and basically don't really look stereotypically lesbian at all I don't think (whatever that means).

 

I like people of the same gender
I shorten feminine words... i.e. fabulous becomes 'fab' and ridiculous becomes 'ridic'

 

Let's see...

-I talk with my hands... a lot.
-I dress decently and take much better care of my appearance than do my straight friends
-I drive a "gay" car (Honda Element)
-I like shopping, at least sometimes
-hugs
-I don't like sports
-Oh, and no straight guy would be seen wearing a fedora with a plume of bright pink feathers!

I had no idea that talking with your hands was a gay stereotype. I do talk with my hands a lot. In fact if you held my hands behind my back I would not be able to talk.

I do have an oral fixation. I tend to chew on staws and pens. In fact I usually have to replace my pens because I have chewed on them to the point of breaking the casing.

 

Hrm...

-I never wear skirts or dresses.
-My nails are very short.
-I listen to mostly screamo, punk, and rock music.
-I've never once worn high-heels. (I like my flats, thanks.)
-I wear guy clothes occasionally.
-I'm a vegetarian.

One of my favourite outfit consists of my stripey rugby shirt, dungarees and docs
There was a point in my life where I was a little...easy...(NO LONGER THOUGH!)

I'm mega obsessed with my appearence
I use wierd and random words alot like mega lol
The only sport im interested in really is swimming
I also play hockey although i didn't know that was gay lol
I laugh and use "lol" way too much
All my gestures are hugely over exagerated
I hug EVERYONE and kiss most people (on the cheak)
I sing/hum alot
I dance alot and Im good at it too (most types from ball room to street)

I cant think of any more right now

I love to sing.
Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, & Britney Spears are my favorite artists at the moment.
I do wear makeup but nothing that isn't subtle.
I can be a real bitch sometimes... :x
