When exactly will the rest of the U.S. know when Prop 8 passes. There's a 4 hour difference from where I am (I live in New York), so when do the polls close and when is it decided based on California time?

California polls just closed 30 minutes ago, it's going to be a bit until everything is in.

The official Advocate website is on-and-off for me, but I don't think even they have the results yet.

Though, I have to say, if by some freak accident, it passes by one vote, I can and will hate myself and my mom forever. Me for not walking to the polling place, even if it would've taken me 2.5 hours, and my mom for not being here to drive me :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

So far, with 11% of precincts reporting,

    YES on 8: 54%

    NO on 8: 46%

'Tis saddening that there are so many bigots out there.....

Unfortunately the numbers are not looking good :

    Arkansas Yes 57 % No 43 % - 61 % reporting
    Arizona Yes 56 % No 44 % - 81 % reporting
    Florida Yes 62 % No 38 % - 91 % reporting

In California there is still some hope :

    Yes 54 % No 46 % - but only 15 % reporting
