Which sex did you come out to first?

Besides my parents, a girl.

It's a lot easier for me to come out to girls because I feel like they'd identify with me better... I dunno.

I came out to my girl J after a long, rough night of enjoying a bit of mary jane and nearly getting caught for it. I don't really know what I was thinking, but I was scared out of my mind and nothing could fase me then, so coming out seemed like a good idea at the time. She couldn't have been more supportive. I'm glad it turned out this way.

 

I've only come out to friends, and in this order from first to most recent:

1. gay and male
2. straight and male
3. bisexual and female
4. straight and male
5. gay and male

The only reason I came out to the two "gay and male" friends is because they're gay.

 

Definitely male. In fact, my mom is really the only female person I've told.

I need more female friends.

 

Well, first a gay guy friend asked me if I was gay/bi (He asked if he could tell his bf, which I am also good friends with). A few months later I texted a straight guy.

So the first straight person I told was a guy, but also the first gay person I told was a guy.

Actually, the thought of telling a girl really intimidates me. (Unless of course she's gay too, but I only know one lesbian).

 

The first person I came out to first was my friend in 8th grade who was a girl and who herself is bi today.

I came out to girls first because my better friends are girls... and then I came out to a gay guy, I don't think that counts. Then again, he wasn't out yet...

And I didn't come out to a straight guy for 9 months after that... and it turned out that he'd already been told by one of my female friends. It went like this...

Him: So how's your love life going?
Me: Meh
Him? No one special?
Me: Well, there's someone, but nothing's ever gonna happen.
Him: You can tell me... I've changed since year 7
Me: I've noticed that actually
Him: Is it really that bad? I'll decide if you tell me.
Me: Well don't think of me differently, but I'm gay.
Him: Yeah, I know

*in my head: WTF???*

Me: Is it that obvious?
Him: No, I'd never have guessed... I was told.

blah blah blah... he later proceeded to guess who i liked.. it was embarrassing that I'd made it so obvious.

Anyway, since then we've gone back to being really good friends.

The first person I came out to was a male.

heres the story: when i first met him my gaydar was going of like smoke detectors in a vegas casino. i was told that he was straight, so i believed it thinking "hey, i can fnally trust a straight guy. yay me!" he came out in late feb. turns out that a month after i came out to him, he started dating a guy to which he is now engaged.

i should put that im a girl who came out to a guy, right? because i thought he was straight.

I told my (girl)friends first (I think, actually I can't even remember), but I already knew they were bi/curious/questioning. The first proper "straight" person I came out to was my brother.

 

the first person I came-out to was a friend of mine whom is somewhat "genderfucked," as "she" likes to call "herself," and along with that, into girls.

the second person I came-out to was my mom, who identifies as straight--though is often overheard saying, "I wish I were lesbian so I wouldn't have to deal with men." ... --in the same night.

 

I'm out to 7 people, all are straight females

 

The first 6 people I came out to were 5 guys (4 of whom are gay themselves), and an MtF girl (who is bi). I've always actually been relatively shy about coming out to women, surprisingly enough.

Strange that so few other women came out to male friends first.

 

First was a guy (married priest), second was a gay :rolleyes: (also priest, in a "civil partnership"), the third was my wife.

 

I am a girl, and I told my best friend (a guy) first. He actually gave me a hug, said he already knew, and asked me out to dinner. :-D It was a good situation.

 

I came out to my friend over Myspace when I was on the phone with her. She was cool with it since she's Bi.

How lame is that as far as coming out goes? :laugh:
