This was on Postsecret this week and for some reason, it really marked me.

It made me wonder if one day, in Highschools we'll see guy/guy jock couples
alongside traditional jock/cheerleader couples, and it won't be a big deal, it will just
be part of who they are(and of course girl/girl couples aswell  ).
    I hope so.

I just wanted to share that with you guys.

  2. Probably in the distant future. Change in this area is happening very slowly.

One day, we will start seeing open same-sex couples in every school. But that's a distant future. We're only just now seeing multiple interracial couples in schools, and segregation ended years ago.

You don't have to be athletes, that's not what I meant.
I meant to say when will it become more mainstream, more
    accepted.

I can see it getting more common, eventually. I'm dating a girl, and some people in my school know. We're not running around saying it, but if someone guesses, we'll tell them. So there's been no problems so far.

One funny incident though, is when me and her were acting kind of snuggly in the one hallway, and this group of guys walks by. The one guy looks back over his shoulder, pauses, and says to the rest of them "... hey, I think they're lesbians?" to which the one replies "Yeah, maybe..." and a couple of them add at the same time "Oh my god, they are!!!". I was trying really hard not to laugh. Their expressions and state of shock were priceless.

There's a lesbian couple at my school.

They hold hands, hug, and put their arms around each other when they walk down the hallway together all the time.

    They're also very popular.

I'm part of a gay (male-male (duh lol)) couple at my school lol. We are largely accepted, I think completely by the girls and by most of the guys however there are still a couple of guys tho that dont like it but they're in the minority even atm. I think eventually tho most if not all people will accept gay couples

If I were dating a girl, I'd be totally open about it.
I don't think the majority of people in my school would care, and the ones that would care...well, they suck.
There were two really cool lesbians (they weren't dating, though) at my school last year, and they were really well liked. But they graduated. :frowning2:

I do think that eventually, most people will accept it. There's always gonna be those people with cemented beliefs though, just like there's people today who are still racist.

Eventually it will be like any other couple.

When I was in high school a few years ago there were no gay couples (that I knew about). I only knew of two gay guys (which I happen to be pretty good friends with) and I did not know of any gay girls.

There are plenty of lesbian couples at my school.. atleast they're open about it.
I guess there are guy couples, but if there are, they are extremely discreet.
