  3. Um For my psych class i had to read Science of happinesss (don't read it) and do something related to it. So i set out try and prove that younger people can learn easier because we have more Dopamine (spelt wrong my Bad) in our brains. The Openness this study measures is linked with that production (higher Openness, higher dopamine) and Openness is suppose to decrease with age. So by taking the results and comparing them using a 2-sample-t-test i can see if Younger people on average have a higher level of dopemine production and learn better.

Calm, introverted, and highly critical. Pretty spot-on.

    I'm a O41-C95-E89-A10-N76

    I'm 33.

I kinda think I'm a bit more creative/curious and open to new stuff than that score makes out. And definitely far more complex.

And I find the "agreeableness" scale a little... biased towards being agreeable, which I think can easily be seen as being spineless vs. having strong opinions/the courage of one's convictions, to cast it in a somewhat reversed light. And I'm often very courteous, especially of strangers. With people I know, however, I tend to be more unforgiving.

Overall it seems relatively accurate, though... if you give it some leeway.

  11. Ok
Result Time! (this is gonna be a lot of stat so idk if you will follow it)

    1. Hypothesis:
    Null: Average(-30) - Average(+30) = 0
    Alternative: Average(-30) - Average(+30) > 0
    2.Conditions:
    -Simple Random Sample of People
-Less than 10% of all people
    -Each Person is independent
-Large enough (this condition isn't met)
    I will use a 2-Sample-t-test.
    3. Mechanics
    X(-30) = 41.56
    Sx(-30) = 26.08
    N(-30) = 41
    X(+30) =40.20
    Sx(+30) = 34.44
    N(+30) = 10
    Degrees Of Freedom = 11.86

    (41.56 - 40.2)÷[ ( (26.08²/41) + (34.44²/10) )^(1/2) ] = 0.1165 (this is our test Statistic)

    Probability(t > 0.1165) = 0.4546 (P-Value)

4.Conclusion: I have a very high P-Value, 0.4546, therefore there is weak evidence against the null Hypothesis, so i Fail to reject the null. I cannot say that there is a difference between the openness leves of Adults (+30) and Kids (-30). Considering that all my Conditions weren't met i would use caution when applying this to the real world, but it turns out that the levels are about teh same.

Thanks for Helping me and if you have any questions feel free to ask them!
