You can also be active about this, go to the Victory Fund website, and sign an open letter to her. You can join the over 700,000 people that have already.

I'm not sure that the expletive was necessary, nor calling her a Redneck; it makes you no better than her.
But, I do agree that she's a total moron.

It's people like her that make life for GLBT people so difficult.
Bigoted, hypocritical Christians who are so set in their ways, who believe in a book that written by a third party hundreds of years after the events 'happened' (don't get me wrong, I'm a big believer in faith; just not that 'book').

The human race is all about change (dare I say it? Evolving) and it's people like Sally Kern and the Phelps' that can't accept others, that can't "love their neighbors".

No offense to the Islamic people, but I hardly think a group of fags are going to go around setting off big pink bombs that blow rainbows everywhere (yes, I used three stereotypes to prove my point).
Islam should be the least of her worries. With words like that it shows that it's her own religion that is the biggest threat to her country.

As the above posted stated. Calling her a redneck is just as bad as her. Stereotyping.

Although I think she's an idiot, hard to say much >_<

More dangerous then terror and Islam? See, that's stereotyping as well, cause you know, every single citizen there is a terrorist, you know? -.- No, there are innocent people there who get killed BY THEIR OWN PEOPLE daily. Yea... Homosexuality destroyed the twin towers, not terrorists. Gay people are the ones who kill soldiers daily in Iraq, not terrorists.

    All her logic fails.

Her logic is that while terrorists kill innocent people, gay people "recruit" others (our poor sons and daughters!!!), and being gay condemns you to hell.

With people like her, who needs terrorists to bring down the US? We'll implode all over our own ideals before terrorists destroy us.

I live with many people who would be considered redneck, and believe me she's one of them.

In Ancient Greece, homosexuality was actively encouraged between teachers and students, but once the student finished their tuition, any further homosexual activities were discouraged.

And I don't think it makes us any better to swear about people, no matter how ignorant or stupid they may be. remember Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
If you want people to respect you for being gay, then you need to at least be civil to them when they have ignorant and bigoted opinions. This is how I personally live my life.

Oh, the sheer stupidity of these people makes me so mad! She rambles about children being 'indoctrinated' into all these nasty liberal ideals. So she would prefer to indoctrinate kids into fanatical support of the Church?

As for her strange statement about "studies" showing that no civilisation which completely embraced homosexuality not lasting more than a few decades. I think maybe she meant that "No completely gay civilisation has even lasted more than a few decades."

This would probably be because they don't have any kids, but then, isn't that rather common sense? No children = not going to last more than one lifetime, and anyway WHAT COMPLETELY GAY CIVILISATION HAS THERE BEEN?!?! It's rather pointless rebutting everything because it's so obvious to everyone here and I don't need to state it, but that stupid :***: cow! :bang:

Well if you are in Oklahoma, here is your chance to have some dialogue with Sally. (if she will agree)

Oklahoma Families to Rally at State Capitol
and Call for Meeting with Representative Sally Kern
Tuesday Rally Follows Anti-Gay Remarks from Kern

What: Families, allies and loved ones of GLBT citizens from
Oklahoma will gather at the State Capitol on Tuesday in response to
Representative Sally Kern's recent statements calling the lesbian, gay,
bisexual and transgender community "the biggest threat our nation has,
even more so than terrorism" and that GLBT people are "just destroying
this nation." Voters from across the state, including members of the
Oklahoma City chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and
Gays (PFLAG), will request to meet with Kern about her remarks. The
public is encouraged to join the Oklahoma chapters of PFLAG and support
calls for a meeting with Kern.

Who: Speakers will include Rev. Loyce Newton-Edwards,
president of the Oklahoma City PFLAG chapter; chapter vice president
Conna Wilkinson; and attorney Richard Ogden, chair of Cimarron Alliance
    Foundation.

Why: "Representative Kern's remarks undermine our nation's
commitment to 'liberty and justice for all,' and do a great disservice
to our families and communities," PFLAG says in a statement to be
released at the rally. "Every Oklahoman, and every American, deserves a
public servant who believes in the dignity of all our children and who
refuses to take part in divisive and counter-productive attacks on our
families. Words matter, and Representative Kern's statement sent a clear
message that she condones second-class citizenship for the lesbian, gay,
bisexual and transgender community. Her remarks disrespect our GLBT
loved ones, dishonor the service of nearly 10,000 lesbian and gay
veterans in Oklahoma and disregard her duty to uphold our country's most
noble values. Representative Kern owes her constituents an explanation,
    and our families an apology."

    When: Tuesday, March 18, 2008
    Noon - 1pm

Where: The Oklahoma State Capitol 1st Floor Rotunda
North Lincoln Boulevard at N.E. 23rd Street
    Oklahoma City

I hate people like her but I also think it's touching that all the people on the video were willing to attach their face saying how she was wrong, that kind of redeamsthe video.

By limiting out rights becuase we are differnt or dont fit into societies "norm" is just like slavery and limiting peoples rights becuase of their race or skin color. Africans Americans were not considered normal even after the civil rights movement my people were decriminated against. Sooner or later the world will see their ignorance and i hope she and all the bastards you have similar views as her burn in hell.
