I don't think anyone there reads posts, theres still guys saying that we choose it even after its been said a few times "why don't you just turn homosexual now then?" noobs.
Definitely. I love how people assume they know things that are completely false, probably because they heard someone else say them. I loved the guy who said that there were no gay people 3000 years ago. XD
Yeah, when i was younger, like 10, I didn't understand homosexuality atall, I thought you chose to and that gay people didn't exist till 100 years ago (LOL) Well, Im glad that im educated now, Gay history is so interesting &_&
I wrote up a nice and respectful post and hit submit. Then it went to an error page so I'm not sure it posted or not. Username is beckyg.
I think my xmas spirit just got flushed down the toilet after reading that thread. Some of the things on there were just disgusting, I can't believe people like that actually exist. I seriously doubt many of them on there would say things like that in real life in front of a gay person though, but I guess that's the beauty (or horror) of the internet, you can say whatever you want with no fear. What made me most annoyed I think were how many of them really believed that people choose to turn gay. I'll just pretend to myself that they're all young and naive, which I guess at least some of them will be. And I didn't see your post Becky, I guess it didn't work Has anyone ever met someone like this in real life? Cos I haven't, everyone I meet (thankfully) seems tolerant and fine with it... I just wonder if they're just saying these things to sound masculine and clever and that kind of rubbish.
I know a word that fully describes all those losers there... PATHETIC.. they are a buch of pathetic people that just talks crap... we should find a crap-o-meter and measure how many crap they talk for ever 100 words they type... stupid losers ugh[and i agree with the ugly nerd thingy] haha
I think with some of those threads people get on a roll and say stuff they don't really mean because everyone else is. That's more likely if the site has younger members, especially younger members who have never had to think about their sexuality and don't know any out gay people. It also suggests that the site is poorly moderated or that the moderators have the same views. A thread like that wouldn't get to seven posts, let alone seven pages here. Remember how you felt about those comments though, and please consider them when replying to threads where you disagree here. We have had a few somewhat negative comments about bisexuals and older gays here which, although nowhere near as bad as that, so suggest a belief in the stereotypes and a lack of thought.
HAHAHA I just found the most hilarious thing on that forum! Check out the description for the 'Something for all' section of the forum where this topic about gay/bi people is being discussed: Intelligent Conversations. Debate / Argue your Views Intelligently with Other Members Yes yes I quite agree, some very intelligent comments there, well done.
:eusa_doh: They started the topic all up again. Did someone from here post on that forum? It wasn't that eloquent, no offense. :icon_sad:
Wow, what a sad, hateful, pathetic bunch of people. It disgusts me that there are such ignorant people in the world. I wouldn't even know what to say in response to that.
I read about 10 posts and got bored with them. I feel sorry for their children (that's if anybody would dare breed with them). I also can't help but wonder how their opinions would change face to face...
I think they would. People post all sorts of crap they don't really mean (or at least don't mean so strongly) in threads like that. Fortunately people here are more civilised, sensible and mature.
