    So I know this sounds weird but like why is it that all bisexuals (I want my fellow bi's to confirm) can't sit in a chair right? Or we tuck in our shirts? Do any of you do the peace sign in photos? (I know you do)

    I feel like we all live the same lives.

    Could I have any bi people tell me this is true or what?

    I don't tuck in my shirts or do the peace sign in photos, but I am completely incapable of sitting correctly in a chair.

    I haven't sat in a chair normally in my entire life.

    Hmm. I'm not sure about the chair thing but I only occasionally tuck in my shirts and never throw peace signs in photos.

    I used to cuff my jeans and when I'm at home I sit on the couch wrong (sometimes the barstools). Sometimes I tuck in my shirts, but that's usually an undershirt. I do love puns and lemon bars though.

    Maybe I don't hang out with other bi people, so I don't have anywhere to pick up these habits from, but no, I don't do any of these things.

    I don't tuck in my shirt, but I definitely do the other two. xD I typically don't know what to do with my hands when I don't have a specific task going on, and I think the sitting issue is also linked to some level of self-consciousness. I'm given to wonder if bisexuals are generally just more self-conscious because of a variety of things, but relating to our orientation, because we don't know how to act around people we might like. ^^;

    Of course, this is just a general thing. I'm sure there are plenty of people of any orientation that struggle with the same. Makes me wonder how it was assigned to us specifically? (Like flannel to lesbians).

    I wonder as well!

    another one I heard from someone (a lesbian told me this to be exact) is that checkerboard vans are a “bisexual shoe”. not sure where that came from but I’ve owned a pair for years, since way before I identified as bi lmao

    I don't see how any of those relate to me. I don't like photos either, so I guess I'm on the minority there. But I doubt you can boil bisexualism down to those points.

    That's one I haven't heard yet. :astonished: Ha, I wonder how that one came to be, as well? I know for the most part all of these are just running jokes, but sometimes I wonder if someone did a census or something and didn't tell anybody, lol.

    Haha! I've just fully accepted that I'm bi in the past few years but probably always deep down knew I was. I remember as a small child wondering why girls marry boys and not just their favorite person. But, back to the points, no longer tuck in my shirts, been throwing peace signs since 2 years old, not necessarily in pictures, and always had trouble "sitting like a lady" in a chair, lounge on a couch with my legs across it if I can get away with it, never had checkered vans though haha.

    I only tuck in button work shirts. But I don't do peace signs in photos and generally sit correctly in chairs.

    I can’t sit properly in my car. I find myself leaning slightly right and not straight.

    I didn't hear this one, either. I heard Converse were "the Bisexual Shoe".

    It's a lot of confirmation bias where bisexuals who do relate will comment that they do, and those that don't don't bother commenting.

    Unfortunately a lot of things labelled bisexual culture are more internet in-jokes than actual culture. I suspect this is because a lot of bisexuals are told they're not part of history/culture commonly labelled gay/lesbian culture, and a specifically bisexual community separate to the gay and lesbian community has only been around for a couple decades.
