Well… I came put about three years ago. I met my now girlfriend not long after. I never got into the whole lesbian scene bars etc. I never got a chance to really make a ton of friends seeing as I am not the club scene type of person. i feel kind of lonely and would love to make some new friends online and Local to me! Dinner tv shows movies nature camping we love it all! I am always down for it all!

I hope that we can help you in the same way that I received help. The most important thing to remember about Empty Closets is that we do care about you! We're very glad that you found us here on EC and hope that we can answer questions, give you support and provide a place to vent (as long as it's not violent!) when that becomes necessary! *****There are 18 different sub-forums here that you can check out and join in the conversations or start your own thread/conversation. When you have made at least 10 posts on various threads you will be able to post messages on a member's Profile Page. Just click on a member's Avatar Picture and then click on "Profile Page" in the dialogue box that pops up. You'll then be on their Profile Page and there will be a box that says: "Write Something" When you have been on EC for a few weeks and have made at least 50 posts on various forums, you can apply for Full Membership. A Full Member can send Private Messages (PM) to other Full Members and share personal contact info. Right now you can only send a PM to a Staff Member as that is always possible. Here is a quote from the Full Membership information forum: *****To be eligible you must be a member of Empty Closets for a minimum of two weeks, and have a minimum of 50 posts. These posts must be across numerous forums (Fun & Games does not contribute to post count), and consistently posted across a minimum of two weeks. Hey welcome to EC. I can totally understand where you are coming from. Have you tried looking if there are any LGBT groups in your area? They are not all about dating and coming out, often there are ones which are purely for friendships etc. Alternatively you could consider some volunteering if you have time.
I realized I am omnisexual a few years ago. I married before I realized this about myself. Talking to my husband about this causes conflict. I have a young adult son. I don't have many supports that I feel I can truly be honest about my identity with. I am wondering if there are many members who have had similar experiences
Hi! I am definitely not into nightlife/club scene either so I can relate to the difficulties of making friends in the lgbt community. Im sorta new to this site but I log in every so often so if you see me around, say hi!
Welcome to EC! It can be difficult to find others to connect with, especially in adulthood (how did we ever make friends in childhood?) but not impossible. Perhaps you and your girlfriend can check out some local support groups, hobby shops, or any number of apps geared towards meeting individuals similar to yourselves? Some dating apps offer just looking for friendship as an option, though there are apps made specifically for making friends, too. Otherwise, I hope you're able to make some connections here.
