Hello, I wonder what LGBTQ+ musicians/singers do you listen to. I personally listen to AURORA, mxmtoon, dodie, Cavetown, Clairo, chloe moriondo, girl in red and Zolita, and I know about 3 songs by awfultune and would like to check out other songs by her, too. Do you have any recommendations?

I think Elton John is a good singer and song writer.

I'm a huge fan of LP. Her style is kinda blues-rock-folk I guess. A lot of her music videos reflect her queerness.

I'm late to the party, but I've recently become obsessed with his performance of It's A Sin with Olly Alexander from Years and Years! Splendid to see two Queer men from different generations doing a great hit justice!

I was a teenager in the 1980s when half the UK singles charts were gay, albeit in the closet (at the time).

I just watched a video of their performance together and I really enjoyed it. It’s always nice to see that sense of comradery between two people who are a part of the community.

Epic performance, isn't it? Elton can do no wrong. It also helps that Olly is easy on the eyes! Have you seen the tv series named after the song, called It's A Sin? Heavy stuff, but good nonetheless!

It was an epic performance. Out of all the characters in the show, Olly played one of my favorites. Awhile back I heard a rumor that he might play the next Doctor for Doctor Who. If it turns out to be true I wish him lots of success in the role.

I was actually just randomly thinking of the show today, as I really enjoyed Roscoe and Stephen Fry's little story line. That man deserves a cameo in every show! I also think Olly would be an excellent choice for the next Doctor!

It sounds like that show left a big impact on you which is completely understandable. The subject it covered is not something you learn about in school to my knowledge. I only learned about it when I exposed myself to LGBT culture for the first time.

Hello All.....I accidentally ran into three guys at a gay bar and when we started to talk I discovered that they were musicians. I am also a musician and so we had a lot in common to talk about. It turns out they are a group that travels around the world doing gigs. The name of the group is "The Ember Trio" Their music is great. They do conventional string instruments as well as electronic string instruments. Check them out!!

What a time that must have been! Both Marr and Morrissey were touring near my city a few years back before rona and the dates didn't work out, otherwise it would have been the closest thing to it if I'd managed to make it to a gig!

I listen to Aurora, Halsey and am currently obsessed with Yungblud - Dom's fighting the corner for the LGBTQIA+ community he is part of and I have so much time for him. Listen to / watch the video to "MARS" if you want to get straight into his song inspired by a trans fan

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Lil Nas X.

Troye Sivan, Demi Lovato, and Sam Smith.

He's one of my main inspirations. Truly amazing to watch even if it wasn't live. Not to mention the mastery he had over the registers in his range.

I will have to check them out, I love strings. I didn't know you were a musician though, what genre do you perform? I want to write and record my own stuff, but I don't know enough about DAWs to do it myself yet. I also would be anonymous if I ever did release anything. I've been trying to decide if I want to go on T before doing any music though.

TinyWerewolf.....Yes, I am a musician. I was a high school band director for 41 years and play all of the woodwind, brass, percussion and stringed instruments. Although I have to admit that I am only able to play at solo performance level on five of them. I can play the others well enough to be in an ensemble. When you teach kids how to play instruments you have to know how to play them yourself!
I don't get enough practice on all of them now that I'm retired, but I do play several of them regularly.
