Photography Thread

Errm not really sure where this should go, kind of winging it at this stage.

Anyway here are a few images of mine to start the thread off. Currently I have almost 120GB of images because I save the JPEGS and also RAW files, also if anyone is interested in the editing suit I currently use, it is Adobe Lightroom, far from an expert as still learning.



If anyone wants to add their own images then please feel free

That is pretty cool and thank you, you're too kind.

I'm nothing special, only self taught and still have vast amounts to learn. My camera is a few years old now but she is still good, she's a Nikon D3400 (love Nikon cameras) and just have the standard 18-55mm lens. Next year will be investing over £1,000 for 3 lenses for it, a telephoto zoom, macro and a wide angle lens.

I'll post a few more images later, just getting a shower because just got in from work and feel rank.

 

It is insane, there is a camera I'd like which is a Nikon Z7, I remember seeing one for sale which was over £2,000 just for the body and almost £3,000 with a lens. Some lenses for my D3400 can hit over £2,000 on their own but certainly won't be looking into them.

Anyway a few images from a walk, started raining inbetween so wasn't out as long as usual.

 

Haha well they should be at that price, pretty insane.

@AvatarRoku - Yea, the image was altered a little. The sky was pretty much as you see it, the contrast was increased a little but the ground was black so increased the lightness of the shadows a little.

A few from a walk, trying to make the most of the decent weather but it won't be long before the rain and cold comes back although really hoping for snow. Don't like the cold but would love some snow images for the portfolio's.






Due to the low light conditions, these images were getting quite difficult to capture while retaining the colours and level of detail. Increasing the ISO increases the CCD sensors sensitivity but also adds noise to the image, looks shit so as much as possible try to keep it as low as possible. Mostly run at ISO 100 but those images I believe were capture at ISO 400. The Nikon D3400 is capable of ISO 25,600 but the noise makes the images unusable.
