Really? Even when I was sure that I was a lesbian the only two men I found attractive were James Dean and Sean Connery, though I could not explain why.

This is interesting. They are two very different types. No to James Dean. Yes to Sean Connery.

I have not seen a film with James Dean and don't know much about him. I only see him in photos and stories of the Golden Age of Hollywood. He looks fairly ordinary. Was it that he lived in the fast lane and that made him appealing? I don't know.

You really should correct this. In my opinion East of Eden and Giant are two must see movies (though the book East of Eden is of course better), Rebel without a Cause is better known and for me not as good of a movie, though his interplay with Sal Mineo is interesting. (both James and Sal spoke in interviews in ways that imply they were bisexual)

Possibly the bad boy image but for me I do like the way that he looks, I do not know why.

I hate Spongebob Squarepants. I have always hated it. I never understood how anyone liked it.

Most people need to go back to drivers education, or simply acknowledge they shouldn't be allowed to drive ever.

I enjoyed 2020. I know it was rough for most people, but I was in a good spot, and a lot of good things came out of it.

I don’t think you’ll be alone in this. I know of other people who’ve said similar.

It’s all relative. Whilst it was hard and challenging in a wider sense, at a personal level, I’ve had worse years than 2020.

I am not thrilled with the lockdowns and other limitations because they have limited my ability to make friends and do things and my options are limited but overall with the relationship that I now have I would say that 2020 was so far the best year of my life. (though it is a REALLY low bar)

Agreed. Definitely wouldn’t be my first choice.

Adding to this, CARS ARE THE WORST INVENTION. They kill people. They pollute. They do good things, too, of course, like taking people places, and that's essential. But they have ruined urban areas. Parking lots. I hate all of it.

Also, I find the word queer offensive. I don't think it should be used in colleges. Of course, it is. Oh well. I accept it.

I also find it offensive and that it would be in schools. Why not teach sexual minority theories instead of queer theories? The word "queen" is also offensive. I thought it had gone away. You wind up reading something by younger LGBT folks who might mention that a popular bar or restaurant is packed and that the queens show up between 10 and midnight. Something like that. I find that disparaging.

Kids my age say queen and king a lot, so I'm less attuned to that. But I don't really like it either. Regarding queer, I think a lot of people say it instead of LGBT, LGBTQ, LGBT+, or any other acronym. I just don't know what to think. I'm not queer. I have wanted to be seen as normal for my entire life. But around other lgbtq people, I think it can sometimes work...

The reason people don't see all of the LGBT community is because many individuals are fairly nondescript and pass - cis, etc. They don't see themselves as queer either and will admit to sexual activity with people of their own gender, but not be involved with the LGBT community. I know that some, not many, LGBT people have issues with this.

I don't like hearing language like "she's a bitchy queen." It's not often, but I've heard younger guys also saying things like this. There's good natured self-deprecation but this would not pass for good natured self-deprecation.

I like a lot of your opinions! I don't like it, either.

I don't like that one friend sends me a daily TikTok. Sometimes even two. I told him to dial it back. I think he forgot.
