While I can be aroused sexually fantasizing of both women and men and the same for watching porn, I have only ever fallen in love with certain women. Am I suppose to disregard who I fall in love with? It seems like having sex without love is just simply getting off. Thats not for me.
There’s the Klein test. But, these tests are only as accurate as one’s input. I’ve taken it and my score is mostly heterosexual. I think this is not true at all because I know how I really feel after years of reflection. It’s just that I love and desire my wife. That skews the results I am comfortable saying. Again, I caution taking sexuality tests except as a sort of general indicator. You have indicated that you love another guy and had relations with him. You’re not straight. For now, maybe that’s all you need to know as you allow your attractions to speak for themselves.
so far it’s only been women, but I don’t have an emotional and romantic connection to other women. I’ve only been what I considered to be “in love” with a guy.
@Nickw — I just took the Klein test online through a bisexual organization site. Interesting results for me: Past = mostly gay, Present = mostly gay, and Future = gay. No surprise there!
I just took the Klein test and it said I was heterosexual leaning. Like what does that mean? Lol. Also how do you tell how you are going to feel in the future since there is a “future” category you have to fill out?
I looked up the Klein test and the part about the future kind of confused me as well. I think that might be one of the reasons why Nickw mentioned that it's only as accurate as one's input.
I took the Klein test on Autistic Empire and I scored a 3 which they described as, "predominantly straight, but more than incidentally LGBTQ+." I think this is pretty accurate and it sounds super similar to my position on the Kinsey scale. However, I wouldn't be surprised if my result was bisexual. I guess "predominantly straight" is pretty accurate though considering I'm attracted to women somewhat more than men. Although, I'm definitely attracted to both, nonetheless.
When I took it on bi.org, it also said that I was heterosexual leaning. I'm not super surprised though because I'm definitely more attracted to women than men. I'm definitely attracted to men though and I'm definitely bisexual.
I think It's now more just about what type of bisexual I am, which I'm still trying to figure out to some degree.
IDR labs has a similar sexuality grid test, I don't see how the Klein one or any if you're in denial.
I took the IDR Labs sexual orientation test (I think it's the one you're talking about). My results were 100% heterosexual and 85.7% homosexual, which placed me in the north-east corner of the bisexual quadrant.
The IDR Labs sexual orientation test questions include a limit set by the phrase “in the last two weeks.” Interesting for me, because within that parameter, I am placed in the far most corner of the homosexual quadrant — 100%.
I also really like the Epstein Sexual Orientation Inventory (ESOI) test by Robert Epstein. He's a pretty well known research psychologist.
