For Pakistani song I like this one too. It is actually more like a prayer. Artist is Atif Aslam but actual song is an old quawwali recreated.

You must be knowing about two sister singers of bollywood Lata and Asha. Both have a different style of singing mean they have a slight contrast on what kind of song each choose to sing. While Lata chose more sober songs during her career Asha went to a bit of pop in her. Singing. There is a pop song of 90s which is my favourite having both the sisters singing two different parts in the song clearly showing the difference of style of both legendary singers. Male singer is Great Jagjeet Singh. Plus instruments used are no techno all traditional. Here it goes

Most of the foreign songs I listen to are Japanese, but I find it interesting to listen to songs in other foreign languages too. It can be fun to try and look up a song you already know but find it's version in another language.

Well to start with Youtube is the best source. You can pick an old bollywood songs jukebox based either on singer or on music composer to start with. I name some main singers male and female and music composers to start with. Following are those:

    SINGERS MALE

    1
. Mukesh 2. Mohammad rafi 3. Kishore kumar 4. Manna Dey 5. Hemant kumar 6. K.L. Sehgal very very nostalgic too old. 7. Udit narayan 80-90s. 8. Kumar sanu 80-90s

    SINGERS FEMALE

    1. Geeta dutt 2. Noor jahan 3. Shamshad begum (above three are nostalgic and senior yo lata mangeshkar) 4. Lata mangeshkar 5. Asha bhosle 6. Anuradha paudwal 80-90s 7. Alka yagnik 80-90s 8. Kavita krishnamurti 80-90s 9. Alisha chinoy

    MUSIC COMPOSERS

    1. SHANKER JAIKISHAN 2. MADAN MOHAN 3. S.D. BURMAN 4. R.D. BURMAN. 5. KALYANJI ANANDJI 6. LAXMIKANT PYARELAL 7. JATIN LALIT 80-90s. 8. NADIM SHRAWAN 80-90s. And... Not the least 1. The
    great O.P. NAYYAR
Its an easy way to startwith.
Slowly you will get through. Enjoy.

Any tv shows/cartoons/movies which contain songs may have them translated into another language. For example this clip from the Lion King shows a piece of the song Be Prepared with 57 versions, many different languages. Which is pretty cool.

Sorry I couldn't find her songs with subtitle. Mahdieh MohammadKhani is her name. Thanks for the info. I see.

I watched this one and liked it. But I hadn't listened to Indian music for long time. So, It takes time for me to be able to fully enjoy them. It's usually difficult for me to get used to new songs. Thanks for sharing.

What kind of Japanese songs they are? Could you send some? I don't like pop music much, especially those with fast rhythm. Nevertheless such popular songs are easy to find. But I want perhaps some more traditional/old Japanese songs.

It is natural for us humans and same situation is with me too. I wish to connect to different cultures and to find the essence of love and truthfulness there. May be i m pansexual in some other way round. Persia is called "Faaras" here in india since earlier times and persian is called "Faarsi". My university has a Indo Iranian study centre which always caught my attraction to become part of it in some way to explore the dimension. Good to meet you. Music sometimes acts as a liasoning agent between two souls. Omar khayyam's rubais are so included in our study of poetic literature since generations that i never had a glinch of thought he being not indian. We are so deep rootedly connected from past.
From your posts i came to know that you have recently switched into s/w programming. I could have helped but left it since ages. Did my masters in it in year 2000. Things have changed a lot since then. Web development was a baby thing then now it has evolved greatly.
Anyways happy meeting you. Good luck for your life and career.

Of the songs I know, maybe some from the artist Junko Akimoto might match your tastes maybe. Here are a few examples (I couldn't link my favourite one because the low quality version on YouTube butchered it.)
