I like some Japanese music even though I don't speak Japanese. I got into it after listening to the Dance Dance Revolution Supernova soundtrack. This is a good song from the soundtrack (the full version):

I only end up hearing a song in another language if it becomes super popular and off the top and my head I can only think of Gangnam Style and Despacito. I like Despacito better than Gangnam Syle and better without Justin Bieber and I have no clue what the lyrics mean. I tried a couple of k-pop songs but I wanted to know what they meant.

Ok but I don't know what genre of music you like most. So, I send some different songs.

This is Rana Farhan. She mixes old poems of Khayyam and other Persian poets with modern jazz and blues. So, Very Iranian lyrics and non-Iranian music. Sadly couldn't find it with subtitle. Great lyrics.

    Very old pop:

If you want traditional Iranian music:

    I
Liked third one. It fulfills my need to go close to the culture. Also if could have subtitles. Also omar khayyam is a very popular name here i thought him to be indian. Also persian used to be one of official languages of courts during my great grandfathers' times

I don't really listen to foreign music, mostly because i speak 3 languages fluently and there is more than enough music to listen in my languages.

But there are a few expections - i listen to a lot of arabic popular classic music because my best friend (she speaks arabic, i don't) always has it playing all the time whenever i visit her (which is pretty much every day). Not my type of songs, but i appreciate it for what it is. Stuffs like this:

I have a vary big appreciation for bollywood songs. I love how "over the top" some of them are, kind of like showtunes, which is my favorite genre. But what makes it truly good is the dancing:

and i don't know if eurovision counts as "foreign" music, but I love eurovision songs:smile:

It always feels good to find someone appreciating bollywood music. If you desire we can create a new thread on discussion for bollywood music. Personally i like old bollywood songs they are so full of poetry, spirit and good music. These new ones are nothing in front of those old golden bollywood melodies. However i do like this new Senorita song of movie zindagi na milegi dobara.

Yes, the Bollywood songs are very nice indeed  I have spent the lockdown and quarantine watching plenty of Bollywood movies, mostly the newer ones though. I am not too familiar with the older ones but I think I will start listening to them. I have no idea where to start, though, there are so many! Haha. I know a couple of them, such as Lag Jaa Gale from the movie Woh Kaun Thi, Ae Bhai Zara Dekh Ke Chalo by Manna Dey, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas by Kishore Kumar, etc

Kishore Kumar is one of my favorite Bollywood singers actually, he has lots of very good songs and a good musical style. I think he was very prolific too, he sang nearly 5000 songs if I remember correctly. This one was always one of my favorites by him

I also found this one, very old song (1950s). I don't know who is the singer but I like it. I always have a fascination with very old songs, 1940s, 1950s, there is always a very magical quality that is not present in newer songs.

Also, there was this song, I can't remember the name, it was by Kishore Kumar and a movie actor, Amitabh Bachchan. It was a song from a movie. Only thing I remember about it is that Amitabh was standing in a giant egg while singing. I watched the movie sometime last year but I don't remember the name. I'll have to look it up sometime. Very entertaining song.

So happy to have you in aquaintance. I was so bored here that i submitted my account deletion request. Now i will help u in getting better understanding of hindi bollywood songs. That b/w song is from movie Anari actor the famous Raj kapoor singet Mukesh and actress Nutan. Another one is from movie Amar Akbar Anthony and the song is like "my name is anthony gonsalvez"
