There was a time on my journey where I focused on trying to understand what made me gay. Generics, social construct, a combination? At one point I thought it was due to events I was exposed to as a child, then I gravitated to the gene theory; and subsequently landed somewhere in the middle. Today I have fully embraced my sexuality and no longer concern myself with understanding how it came to be.

I am attracted to men. I am not romantically nor sexually attracted to woman. Nothing more needs to be said about it.

This is what I've always suspected. How many things as complex as attraction can be reduced to one gene?

It's good that you thought about it like a critical thinker and then landed on a posture you want to take going forward. For people where the romantic and sexual attraction varies and has different elements, they might continue to think about this longer.

I agree. It has to be very multifaceted.

My dad and his 3 brothers were all objectively lgbtq. My uncles also said that their mother was a lesbian.
