Sorry, I know this thread's been quiet for a while, but wasn't sure if I should make a new thread or not. ^^;

I was wondering if anyone had any Sapphic erotica recs? I haven't really read any erotica/romance since my late teens, and I'm kind of dying to find some good f/f erotica (gotta live vicariously through fiction, lol).

If anyone has any, trad published or indie, let me know.

 

There is an absolutely fantastic fantasy/romance writer named Sam Farren that I love. It's less erotica, but the writing craft is clearly evident in their work. I haven't disliked any of their books yet. If you are looking specifically for more erotica, Rae D. Magdon is less polished, but still a pretty good storyteller. Their books are a little spicier, with more erotic scenes within the story. Another author that I really enjoy is SD Simper. They write a really good f/f horror series. That isn't to everyone's taste, but the writing is very good.

I just read this book called Cantoras by Carolina di Robertis. It tells the story of 5 lesbian women living under the Uruguayan dictatorship of the 70s. It was amazing. I loved it.

Nights Of Silk and Sapphires-Amber Jacobs
The Chronicles of Arianthem- Samantha Sabian
These books are set in the past. The first book is basically a harem belonging to a woman who all have permission to sleep with each other. The Chronicles of Arianthem is a series set in a fictional world, I recommend it,and it gets better after the first book.
For something more modern there’s the vampire sorority sisters series by Rebekah Weatherspoon.

I just read "I Know You By Heart" by Sasha Rose. I really liked it bc it was pretty graphic but had a really good romance and I could really relate to the story.

 

Currently reading "Claiming the B in LGBT". It's an interesting, informative read that touches on bisexuality (obviously), and its relationships with faith, culture, specific communities, etc.

 

I loved, and recommend, "Paul Takes The Form Of A Mortal Girl" by Andrea Lawlor and gutted to discover its her only book.

Could anyone recommend any other enby fiction there might be?

 

Flotilla: The Temp by Erik Schubach. Part of a series but each novel can be read as a standalone. Main character of this book, Reid, is a boy some days and a girl other days. It’s a romance primarily. I don’t know if that’s what you’re looking for.

 

I have a few autobiographies that I quite adore: Born Both by Hida Viloria and, though it's not exactly LGBT-heavy, it's still quite heavy in it's own right, Just Kids by rocker Patti Smith.

For fiction, I'm afraid my knowledge only goes as far as the works of Poppy Z. Brite, Caitlin R. Kiernan, and Storm Constantine's Wraethu universe. I fell in love with Constantine's world, which details the Earth on the "brink of collapse," although this collapse is just an entry to its next cycle of being. To paraphrase, humanity's sexual binary reality is quickly being usurped by a new, genderfluid, raucous and mystical race. In their enthusiasm, they end up creating their own wars, joys and woes and dramas that they had hoped to do away with. I don't think this is an ideal synopsis of the series or the fan-collections; Constantine herself does a better job explaining the situation and its legacy on gender studies in her afterward.

 

Try Rubyfruit Jungle, it’s an easy read, but I love it. I can’t remember the author. Glad I came in here, lots of titles to look forward to, I’m a complete bookworm.

The author is Rita Mae Brown. I have read it but I can’t remember it so I’ll give it another go. It’s over forty years old though and I usually end up buying books less than a week after they are released.

 

I want to find some books with Bisexual or Nonbinary characters

 

I have just started reading Beyond the gender binary by Alok Vaid-Menon. It is really interesting and good seeing they're perspective of the world around them and themselves being non binary and transfemenine. it is conversational and a not too heavy read while being interesting.

Hey friends! My order of Lou Sullivan's diary series, We Both Laughed In Pleasure came in the post today and I am super keen to delve into it. Lou was a huge pioneer in the trans community, due to the fact that he was gay, out as both, and advocating for our right to health care and love.
