Hey, I Just saw little women last night. Super good and amazing acting. It manages to feel modern while staying true to the book. It’s not lgbtq but has strong feminist themes. Would definitely recommend watching if you are looking for something to do!
I saw little women too. I like 1994 version as well. The newer one had a weird ending I’m confused as to what actually happened. Little women is actually the first book in a four book series. The movie is about the first two books, the same as the 1994 version.
I saw some really good indie comedies in the past year Anna and the Apocalypse--A holiday musical comedy...with zombies. I'm not normally a fan of musicals, but I very much enjoyed this movie. Lez Bomb--A young woman attempts to come out to her family, but every times she tries, she gets interrupted. Things get complicated when her male roommate shows up and everyone thinks he's her boyfriend. The hilarious side plots make it seem like "Christmas Vacation". Written by, directed by, and starring Jenna Laurenzo. Also stars Bruce Dern, Cloris Leachman, Steve Guttenberg, and Kevin Pollack.
I like indie films in general. Lol. I actually watched a little of the beginning of Lez Bomb, but never got around to finishing it. May try to check it out again.
Watched Can You Ever Forgive Me? recently and it was actually better than i was expecting.. Definitely a sad story, imo.
Finally watched Portrait of a Lady on Fire recently and it was good, definitely as good as I expected, but I did want more. I'd recommend it though to all the lesbians out there. Lol
I caught that on tv recently, it was pretty funny! It's the movie with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler right?
