    I was thinking about having some drinks tonight but I haven’t had any alcohol since New Year’s Eve and now that I’ve gone that long, I don’t even feel like it haha.

    I'm doing the onboarding paperwork for my new job (which is with a major bank) and this is one of the forms:

    I'm really not sure how I feel about a company asking all of its new employees what their sexual orientation is.

    My university includes "what is your sexual orientation?" on every single survey about everything. "Are books too expensive this year? Please mark your sexual orientation" etc.

    That's just normal now apparently.

    I’m trying to figure out how I got roped into attending the stupid school board meeting oh yeah. I got conned. If I go and make this presentation to the school board, my principal will let me do things with our shows for 2020 he wouldn’t normally let me do.

    I am seeing it increasingly that companies - small and large - will ask the question, though usually you have a choice of not answering it if you prefer not to, or feel uncomfortable. From what I have seen thus far, it is largely done with the idea of ensuring that the workplace of an organisation works towards being representative of the larger society.

    I was in a supermarket before when two people were having a conversation. One of them said "Maybe I should just pretend to be straight, I really can't be bothered" and I have no idea what the context of this discussion was. I can't help but nosily wonder about it.

    my sleeping meds havent been working for me lately. Takes me most of the night to get to sleep, and then once I get there, I have really bad nightmares and wake up having panic attacks :ok_hand: fuckin' mint dude

    Packing day has been a giant clusterfuck. We got 4 inches of snow last night and as we were trying to rearrange the cars in the driveway, my aunt somehow managed to back into my neighbors' yard and get stuck. We had to call a tow truck.

    To make matters worse, my dad (who's in Jacksonville on a business trip) missed his connection and might end up getting rerouted into Detroit instead of Flint. That means someone has to drive all the way down there and get him.

    On top of it all, we have to make the ~140 mile drive and get there tomorrow by 10:00 AM. This has been a total fubar.
