I have these strange lines on the inner side of my right heel. They look like either stretch marks or wrinkles, but like old people wrinkles and not the regular wrinkles you see on a foot (I'm only 25, so not even that old) They sometimes get very itchy, and dry as well. Has anyone else had anything like this? Is it even possible to get stretch marks on your heel/foot? What are these lines and what can I do to get rid of them?
Moisturizer? Maybe try petroleum jelly. It will soften them right up. :} if they’re red or painful, consult your doctor.
I've used moisturizer/dry skin cream on then numerous times in the past and it hasn't worked. I'll try the petroleum jelly.
Could it be your shoes rubbing or slippers? Possibly even socks could do that, maybe. Hmm, yeah, try petroleum jelly. And if that doesn't help, does your insurance have a nurse helpline? I'm not sure what to say, because it doesn't sound severe to run to a doctor or anything for it, unless it gets worse. Or do you have any appointments coming up soon? If so, certainly ask then
It's possible, but the lines are even there in the summer, when I'm usually wearing flip flops or am barefoot most of the time. And even when I am wearing sneakers/shoes with tighter socks, the lines from those socks go away after a time; these are present all the time. I am not sure if my insurance has a nurse helpline, but I agree with you that it's definitely not severe enough to warrant a doctor's visit. I could also probably ask my dermatologist next time I need to go to them, as it could be a skin issue. It's weird though, I've had them for a few years, and I've never been able to figure out what they were. I'll try the petroleum jelly though and see if that works.
Sounds like it could be varicose veins. The next time you have a doctor's appointment, it wouldn't hurt to mention it.
