Hi nice to meet you . I was born male but have thought for a long time I was gender fluid but I’m starting to think that it’s more then that and that I might be transgender.

Why is that if you don’t mind? You don’t have to tell me! I’m just interested. Oh, and you can call me Jay (not my real name just something I like going by as well to Chaos.)

Hi Jay  you can call me Alice. (Not my real name).
It’s hard to explain really but I’ll try. For years I just thought hey I like cross dressing but then I started thinking I feel really comfortable dressed as a girl but I also still liked myself as a guy but now the more I think about it the more I’ve started to hate how I look and wish that I had a more feminine body. I think the hardest part is the confusion because I still do like being a guy. I hope that makes sense?

It really does. I mean, it took me a lot of time to figure out that I was genderfluid. The thing was that it took a lot of anxiety and anger for me to figure out who I was during that time. Like right now I feel much more comfortable being called male then female. Sometimes I wish I could bind or wear the clothes that I really want to just to achieve the way that I want to be. At the same time however, I’m not against getting my nails and hair done, or just being really girly and chatting about relationships with others. It’s a confusing mess but I’m sure it’ll get better In time.

I understand what you mean about wearing the clothes that you want to. I can’t express myself which makes things all the more frustrating for me :/ and I don’t have anyone who I can be girly around or have girly chats with.

Hi. I've struggled with my gender identity a lot. I am AMAB, I tend to fluctuate between identifiying as a girl and identifying as androgynous. I really like the genderqueer label, because it's really all-encompassing, but for me labels are less important in my identity. I have a specific fashion sense, I prefer female pronouns. But that's the extent of my gender identity.

Sorry I’m not sure i know what AMAB means :s. I don’t like labels but I guess I am just trying to figure out who I am so I can more forward if that makes sense?

Ah sorry to hear that. No need to apologise, you have a right to your own emotions. Any particular reason you’re feeling this way?

As for me I’m alright. Just got through a bunch of tests for med school so I’m resting for thre first time since July...

Oh wow that must be such an amazing achievement. Do you have more tests or is that it?
I’m feeling down because I’m suffering with what I think is body dysmorphia and not being able to find a release for how I’m feeling.

I’m pretty gender fluid! I consider myself more androgynous than gender fluid. I refer to myself as “she” but don’t consider myself as one specific gender.

I think being androgynous would really help me as I’m not out so I can’t go full female and have to stay being full male but I just have no idea about how to be androgynous. I’d love to be more feminine but my lack of confidence stops me. Any tips?

    Hello
AMAB/MAAB = assigned male at birth
AFAB/FAAB = assigned female at birth

    I'm sorry you're feeling down

Ah that makes sense. Thank you.
I feel really trapped in my own head at the moment and it normally goes away after a while but lately it’s just getting worse. Like I just see pictures of women or even women’s clothing and it sends me into this thought of I wish I could look like that or I wish I could wear that. Does that make sense?
