    Yeah, we basically get blamed for everything. Even stuff the next generation after us does, it's sad and I'm quite tired of it.

    The dates for Silent, Baby Boomer and the beginning of Gen X are set and do not change. The dates for the end of Gen X, Gen Y and Gen Z fluctuate depending on what source you are using.

    An alternate breakdown:
    Gen X = 1965-1980
    Gen Y (Millenials) = 1981-2000
    Gen Z (Boomlets) = After 2001

    Basically, it changes depending on how you round out the cusps. Culturally, I think this fits a little better for developed countries.

    Absolutely...I think it was simpler back then...technology has sped things up too much where you no longer have time to enjoy life

    Yeah, my immediate asociation with "Millenial" is "ah, those born after 2000" but no, apparently it means something else...

    They were originally called that because it was supposed to be people who lived through the turn of the Millenium, so anyone not in another generation who was alive December 31st 1999 basically. I don't know why they randomly pushed it back a couple years afterwards though.

    Yes, it would fit better in my opinion. I feel like those born after 2000 are different. My peers played with all sorts of stuff, they were sucked into tablets. Games and internet were still quite unsophisticated in 1990s and early 2000s when I was a total kid. I think it makes a lot of difference in behaviour now that we all grew up to be adults or late teens. It's like those young ones emerged out of the internet, saw it as the default... when if you didn't grow up "in" the web, internet was referred to as a box with pathological behaviour... yeah, the young ones are somewhat socially inept XD that is my point.
