Welcome to EC, Halley! As you grow older, you will realize that true and life-long friends will be few and far between...I count two for myself, personally (it's all in how one defines "friend"...so count yourself lucky!
I have 4 real friends. One is online only, one is long distance and I haven’t seen him in over 4 years, the other two I see regularly but only one of them I know for sure is a life long friend. Real friends are rare. I have a few other “friends” but I wouldn’t count on them to be there for me.
Recently, I realized that I met my two closet friends over 25 years ago. I am at the 60 plus age and realize it's time to make more friends. Anyone have any hints on gaining new friends?
