I came out to my sister this morning and I'm feeling pretty good. I sat her down and said, "I need to tell you something." After I told her, she said she was relieved that it wasn't something bad. So, not a big deal at all, but a huge wall has come down.

Very happy for you ... I came out to my sister two weeks ago. She was the second person on my list (I needed a trial run) but it was actually harder than the first. It went well, and the two more after her have been much easier. I'm actually going down a list now and having much less anxiety than before.

Thanks, all. I almost came out to my mom, too. Wasn't planning on that. (I'm 43, she's 71). This was a much-needed pressure valve release. Working up the courage to (possibly) tell my wife. Not sure she wants to be married to a bi guy, so we shall see.

Congrats on your courage. I know when I finally came out as gay the feeling of liberation and pure release was overwhelmingly fantastic.
I hope the future is what you desire!

It’s only fair to tell your wife. She might not want to be married to someone bi. You might also find out once you have been with a guy, you might not want to married to woman any longer. In my case thought I was bi because it seemed easier to accept. That lasted about a minute and I knew the truth was I was gay. In any event your wife deserves to make her own decision. Be honest in the end you’ll both be happier. Good luck.

That's so great! I am out to my sister as well. She's the only one I've told. We're very close and she's totally fine with it.

Well done it always feels good when we are accepted for who we truly are. This is especially true when it is a member of our own family

If you can work up the courage to tell her, which is very difficult, you will find a new freedom to be yourself
