Happy pride month!

I'm planning on possibly going to a pride parade with my gay brother this month

 

Hoping to get courage to come out !

 

Going to my first pride tomorrow. Marching with a group who I have never met, so hoping to make friends and go to more social things.

 

No plans but I want to try and do what I can to support pride. I want to try and become more involved in raising awareness and funds but not sure how or what.

 

Do you have any therapists in your area that you can talk to? There's a possibility that that could help you gain courage. They are entitled to full confidentiality, so you don't have to worry about them spilling any secrets.

 

We always go to the Parade and usually host a brunch before. We usually do the weekend festival the week before, and I'm hoping we'll hit a couple of the concerts this year.

 

No chance of me coming out. May just drink an enormous amount of alcohol and pass out

 

Want to come out but won't. Probably not this month. Want to show support however I can but will be severely limited. I would love to go to an event but can't because I'm not out. Oh well. Im hoping next year will be better.

 

This sounds so fun! I wish I could do this.

 

Most pride parades are completely done by volunteers. Most people get paid NOTHING so they are looking for as many volunteers as they can. Contact your local pride festival and tell them you want to volunteer. You can either volunteer the day off (I would start there) and later on you can even volunteer to help organize the event itself.

For me, fucking love pride month. We will be going with our gaggle of friends to San Francisco Pride which I'm really excited about. Never forget the stonewall riots started by the kids who weren't accepted with the "lgbt elites" in order to fight police brutality and to openly ask for our rights to be respected not because we are "good respectable homosexuals" but because we are simply human and we deserve equal protection under the law.

Yeah I keep looking but doesn't seem to be a lot in my area. There's a pride festival in September so might look into that.

In the meantime have ordered some rainbow laces from Amazon Smile so that also means I've supported Mermaids at the same time.

 

There is a major parade near where I live but I think my wife would be a little suspicious if I attended.

 

Going to my first pride festival tomorrow! Excited and nervous because it means fully coming out to quite a few people. But more excited than anything.

 

There's a festival later this month I may check out. Zero interest in the parade though

I plan on going to Cincinnati Pride Festival, whenever it is, I'm not sure. I'll skip the parade, because I'm not a big fan of standing around watching a parade, plus, it'll be on a Saturday morning and I might be busy then.

 

Yeah, depending where you are some people have the festival during colder weather. In Florida most of our pride events happens in the fall.

Never been to Pride before, might this time if there's one in my area. Too bad I'll be in SF a couple weeks before pride. It would have been awesome if my travel plans had overlapped.
