I bought a book on paganism yesterday and read it during cardio. I just want to know if there's any magical people (trying to avoid offending anyone) on Empty Closets. I'm very interested in the occult and would love to read any of your experiences.
I'm definitely not into that stuff personally, but I know someone who is. She does the occult stuff and says she belongs to a 'chaos magic' group. She also claims to do astral travel a lot and says she can talk to her occult friends in their dreams while they are sleeping. On the more terrifying side, she also claims that sometimes demons from another dimension get lost or something and end up interacting with her - some passively, some violently. I try not to think about it too much - how scary would that be if there are actual inter-dimensional traveling violent demons that invade your dreams whenever they want.
I consider myself a Wicca jedi but saying that I don't really practise anything 'occult' anymore. I do have a lot of books in the subject though. I did also do ghost hunting a while back which was interesting but I didn't experience much personally.
One of my best friends is a wiccan, but she doesn't tell me much about it, other than that she casts spells. If my friend does anything like that, then that's terrfying.
And Wicca cause of Harry Potter. I know Wicca is completely different and is nothing like magic shown in the series, but ever since I got into HP, whenever I find out someone is Wiccan I find it fascinating and just have to ask questions about how it works.
Well for me its because both of those religions believe in a universal force which is something I believe in. Both of them also seem to be very nature orientated and have a more accepting attitude towards death. Apart form that its just the philosophies and moral codes behind the two such as not causing harm to others, to try and help mankind and an emphases on learning and being open minded.
I find the occult very fascinating as well. I have read widely on various mythological topics, folklore, etc. for years. I am an atheist but I find it all very fascinating.
