Any chance of renaming the "Follow" button to "Friend"?
I already use it in that way anyway and I feel like being able to Friend people creates more of a community and friendly atmosphere.

    Just a thought.

I'm not sure that I necessarily agree. If you label your followers "friends" then everyone that you don't follow must not be your "friends", which creates groups rather than a whole community. Also, some members will follow other members because they are interested in their posts and relate to them, rather than because they communicate with them a lot, so labelling it "friends" might put people off using the function for that purpose, as it would imply there needed to be a "friendship".

Besides, we've got a friendly atmosphere anyway.
