After becoming tipsy, a friend randomly started using masculine pronouns for me. xD Without being asked.

I sent an email to a gender therapist about setting up an appointment. I'll probably end up seeing someone else, just because she has a long waiting list, but it felt great to finally make that step. I needed that today.

Got my hair cut and its really growing on me. At first i wasn't sure because i requested a bob (since i would look unflattering with a typical short guys' haircut, being pre-T)...but she gave me a very short bob. I love the haircut! I can just comb it and be done with it. And if i push the hair that naturally falls in front of the ear behind the ear, it looks like what could pass for a guys' haircut. I'm so happy with it.

Try hats, imo they're really cool with that kind of haircut and make transmasc people feel like young androgynous boys ;-)
I still remember when I smiled like an idiot at my reflection with a hat on; it was the first time I saw a guy in the mirror.

Used a more public men's washroom tonight...
Whenever I think I'm going to use the men's I typically chicken out, duck my head and use the women's. This time there was no hesitation, I turned the corner, saw the women's first, then the men's and pushed the door open. I thought I was going to be in trouble because when I got into the stall, I thought the lock didn't work, but thankfully it did, and no other guys came in.
I went in and out with no awkward stares or anything!

I look like any other middle aged schlub except for my hair. It's long enough that some old friends are starting to even act hostile. On a good note though, the waiter at dinner tonight respectfully shook my hand when presenting the tab. Thanks, Dude, I needed that!

I haven't been on this page in ages and it makes me really happy to read how far all of you have come. I'm still working on my doubts and it's hard for me to figure out how much I want to be out and how far I want to go in my transition. But things are moving a little. I'm traveling at the moment and I have introduced myself as "Noah" every time I've met someone new. It feels good. I'll have to wait and see how I will react to being called my birthname again. But this trip gives me a bit more confidence to finally move on and come out properly to people in my life.

Besides I am talking a lot about my gender identity to the friend I am traveling with. It's a great relief just being able to voice my thoughts and feelings on that matter in real life.

I guess I also look much more androgynous than I thought I do. I don't often get addressed with gendered terms in everyday life because in German people don't say "thank you sir" or "thank you ma'm" but simply "thank you". Because of that I was really surprised when I took a plane a few weeks back and got called "sir" about 60 percent of the time. It led to a few awkward situations, but it was very uplifting.

i went to an easter event with our Pflag chapter and even though i was male presenting i was Sarah to everyone, including new people ive never met before, one was a mom who had a new daughter, just transitioning, and we chatted parent to parent but with differing starting points. she was/is so worried about doing this right, after talking to her and her daughter, she's doing fine and i told her that. so my victory was helping a family starting out on this journey.

I came out as gender neutral to one of my best friends. That's the first time I've ever come out as gender neutral. It felt good.

so, yesterday was the HRT doc's turn to see me. this was the first time in 6 months as she was away when i had an appointment in January, lovely Locum doc though, and we discussed how to up my estorgen levels, she said they were already pretty good. and my T levels are pretty low. but she's going to investigate putting me on pills, and increasing things a little, this might speed up the changes a bit too, as im going full time in like 3 weeks. i think the kicker was when i showed her my side and the irritation from the patches, her face said a lot, big eyes time. so that's my victory, i may be getting more E and in pills, just need to keep an eye on possible risks, of clots from pills vs patches. she said ultra low dose but hey.

How do you know the T is working? It's called eating six pieces of pizza and still being hungry.

In other news I did a voice comparison of me pre-T versus now and my voice has dropped so much!

Well it's been a long time since I've been back.

But yesterday was my 1 year mark of coming out and tomorrow is my full 1 year anniversary of living as a woman.

Just sitting in a theatre waiting to watch my boyfriend dance, with a rose to give him after the show. Life can be beautiful sometimes.
