when it comes to reading, do you prefer paperback, hardcover, or a screen? for me, it's hardcover all the way
Hardcover. Paperback is ok, and cheaper, but screen is horrible. I don't know how people like those Kindle type things.
I'm an old soul and refuse to use e-readers and kindles. Real books never run out of battery power, plus there's no new book smell with a digital book. That being said, I have no preference between hardcover and paperback, they both have their pros and cons. I only have a preference if it is a series. I usually prefer a series to be either all hardcover or all paperback, for unity's sake, and get annoyed if it's mixed.
Love reading anything in any format - love the kindle as you can get a whole library on it to choose from.
Hardback is my favourite, but I normally go with paperback because it's lighter. Honestly a lot of the time it's just whatever the library has. I refuse to use e-readers because they look stupid. You'd think more young people would use them because they're techy, but in reality only old grannies that need large text have them. I only need one book with me at a time.
Paperbacks. Hard cover look nice on a shelf, but paperbacks are usually smaller and ligher, which makes them easier to take with you. I'm also not a fan of reading off a screen, at least not for anything more then a few pages. Don't know why but I just feel like having something paper to hold just better.
I will typically get the paperback version as I find it easier to handle when reading. That said, and as I am building my own literary library, I will get hardcovers from time to time in addition to the trade paperbacks.
I love owning hardcovers, but I much prefer reading paperbacks. I've never read a book on an electronic device but it doesn't seem appealing.
If I must for some reason, I will use a digital copy (a book from a different language receiving an unofficial translation for example) but typically, I prefer hard cover books over any other type.
Well I buy more paperbacks than hardbacks I think hardback is good for strategy guides or important books I don't have a kindle
Yeah it's easier to buy more paperbacks because more books are just in paperback and the paperback is cheaper than a hardcover when a book has both options. But, common, when you do get your hands on a hardback it's just really, really nice.
