ok, so my manager was back in the office today, we had a lady retire, so i popped into her office and asked for an honest opinion about my voice, is it more fem or just weird.....? much more fem she said, softer, and higher. and that's another victory for me today. *big smiles.

This has been a good week. Yesterday at the beginning of my shift I helped a nice lady find some envelopes. It took 15 minutes or so because I needed to rummage through our back stock above the shelf, and we chit chatted a bit. I brought her to the register when I finally found them, she said "thank you have a nice rest of your day." I said "no problem and you as well." Well after I left and she got to the cashier(who's a friend of mine, knows about me, and that I was the one who helped her) she was looking for me and asked "Oh, where's that girl who was helping me she's very nice!"

Later on I helped a nice old lady scan some documents into her email, and at the end she asked my name. When my still not all the way out self responded with "my name is Greg" she was like "o...kay" and seemed a bit confused, like she was expecting a girl's name.

Then today I helped a lady with a printer and as I was walking away a guy who had been looking at ink was like "Excuse me sir" so I turned around (a bit disappointed) and he was "oh miss sorry." Then he was hitting on me as I helped him with a new printer(that was creepy). So yeah he definitely thought I was a girl.

I think it's time to finally change names at work...

so I didn't write this last night but yesterday I walked in the Santa Clause Parade in the capital with our Pflag group, there were cameras there from the local media and I stood loud and proud with our banner, I think im going to be on TV. one of the city counselors took our picture and posted it on twitter, not gender related but honestly it's positive exposure for our group and for the queer community at large.

Yup. I've taken a few steps and am moving towards that. I asked three coworkers who know to stop referring to me as male. They're working on that(it'll take a bit of getting used to but they are trying). And I'm slowly going to be letting others know that that's how I wish to be referred to in the future. Brooke, she/her.

And another victory! My two best friends and I have planned a shopping trip on Saturday! I have a Kohl's charge that's empty, so they're going to help me get some proper clothes! Girl's night!

I'm still not out but a grade eight or nine in the cafeteria called me sir. Weird enough already since I'm only in grade twelve, haha.

Not the victory I was looking for, but sometimes the unexpected ones are the best. I didn't get my letter for HRT today, but I definitely am gender dysphoric and have some pretty bad issues with depression going on. Luckily my councelor gave me a referral to a free clinic where I can go and get help for my depression and truly get started on the path toward transitioning

Wearing boxers today instead of girls' underwear. On one hand it feels right, affirming, but its also a prominent reminder of what i don't have. Can't risk packing around the family. Looking to slowly purge as much girl clothing as possible from my room.

Two pairs of leggings, a few long sleeve shirts, two hoodies, two pairs of jeggings, a flannel, some cute running shoes, and some knee high boots.

I have to return the flannel and one shirt because they don't fit but I did good overall.
