How many places have you lived in?

I've lived in the same house all my life

 

Same house, but I’m really happy where I live.

 

I think 11 different places in six different cities/towns.

 

Two houses and four apartments.

 

One house in Salt Lake City, UT for eighteen years, four different dorms in four years in Cambridge, MA, a year in India (travelling pretty constantly) and probably six or seven apartments in Chicago, IL and my current home in Chicago. I own this one so hopefully I'll be here a while.

 

I was born in Redwood City, CA (abut 30 minutes south of San Francisco), and we lived in a small duplex for a couple years. When I was about 2, we moved to a small house in Modesto, CA (basically right in the middle of CA). I lived in that house for about 21 years before I moved to a tiny apartment in San Francisco to go to grad school (I was 23 I think). After a few years in SF, I’ve since moved back to my childhood home in Modesto, and I’m currently living there lol. I might move out again at some point, but idk for sure.

 

Lived in my first house in England until I was 9, our first house in Ireland was a crappy cottage for a year then we moved to a 4 bedroom bungalow my parents bought for a year , we moved to a different part of Ireland and rented a house for a year but we've been in our current house for 12 years and I currently live in student accomodation. So I've lived in 6 places total.

 

Lets see. Lived in one house when I was little. Moved to a different about the time I started school. Stayed there till college, where I had two different dorms. Had an appartment for six months last summer. And I have a different appartment now. That adds up to six places total (two houses, two dorms, two appartments).

 

3 in total. Parents home until age 8 maybe, then grandparents home which was near my parents home until the age of 18, followed by an apartment a couple hundred miles away for 3 years, and now back home again for over the past 5 years.

 

Basically this. It's pretty surreal, especially when you consider this is not the norm for most people!

I did live with my grandparents for my two first years, and wonder what might have been different had I stayed.

 

I've been living in the same house for 17 years, we were going to sell the house at one point but my parents decided it was best to stay and I'm glad they did

 

I've lived in 8 states so far in my life, in seven houses, two dorms (three rooms), three apartments, and three rented rooms (with kitchen privileges at each). Ranging from less than a year (rented rooms) to almost two decades (a house).

 

I lived on a farmette just outside of Mauston, WI the first 2 years of my life with my mom and grandparents. Moved to a small apartment in Waunakee, WI, then to another apartment in Madison, WI when I was 3 so my mom could finish college, then to a duplex back in Waunakee from the ages of 4-7 (Kindergarten and 1st grade), moved into a house in Marshall, WI that had a HUGE backyard (I think it was an acre in size. I distinctly remember my step-dad having to use a tractor to mow it from time to time, as this was second grade).

Then at age 8 I temporarily moved in with my aunt and uncle in Dane, WI for about 4 months and stayed in thier very large house, then I moved to the Portage, WI area. There I lived in a duplex about 4 miles outside of town for about 4 years, then a house in town for about 3 years near a place called "The Gully" (it's proper name was Sunset Park). Then to a different house closer to the downtown area when my parents temporarily split. After that, my step-dad bought a house 4 miles outside of town across the highway from where we originally lived and I stayed there until I was 21. Then I moved back into town with my grandparents for a couple years until I met my current wife.

We lived in 2 different apartment complexes for a few years until we moved in with friends in thier house for just over a year before moving down here to Florida to the hosue we currently live in.

So all in all, I've lived in 4 different apartments, 6 houses and a pair of duplexes, in 7 different towns/cities in 2 different states, over the course of my rather nomadic existence. I've grown to hate moving.

 

18 different places. Different parts of the country. Apartments, condos, my own homes. A progression there. Moved up to better places each move.

 

Three houses in the same city, and two off-campus apartments at college on the other side of the state.

 

2 houses (moved when I was 4-5 months old). And 2 dorms.

 

I've lived in two homes: a bungalow which I have very little recollection of (we moved out when I was 4), and the house we live in now. Actually you could say three because my parents and I lived with my grandma for a while between these two houses.
