Hello! Any Green Day fans out their? I love Green Day. I want to know who your favorite band member is and what you favorite song is. I will start first. My favorite band member is Billy Joe Armstrong. My favorite song? Can't pick one they have so many that I love.
Yes! Basket Case is my all time favorite Green Day song. Was supposed to see them live this summer but something came up and I couldn't. So bummed
Yes! Boulevard of Broken dreams is probably my fave. I like that their songs are so simple to play on guitar but still sound so cool
Not anymore really. I was a massive fan in my youth. I think I have all of their albums up until 21st Century Breakdown. I haven't listened to their newer releases so, I can't speak on them. Choices they've made in recent years to capitalize on their name have caused me to lose a lot of respect for them.
I think I'm developing into a fan, but am mostly familiar with their more well known songs. Dookie is one hell of an album and I do like their most recent stuff as well as coming to appreciate American Idiot. I think Longview is one of my favorites. Still Breathing recently. And of course Wake Me Up When September Ends. There's so many great ones
OH MY GOD YES YES YES!!! Obviously the beautiful Billy Joe Armstrong is the favourite... My fav song is Jesus of Suburbia, to have a 9 minute song like that with so much energy and different musical skills, it was incredible! I have posters, t-shirts and everything they have ever made on both CD and my Spotify so yeah, I'm a 24 year old fanboy!
I love that song! My parents hate punk music. They hate anything punk. Witch is why i'm getting away from them asap because i am punk to the soul but i don't get to be me when i'm with them. i thinking of leaving home to go stay with some friends. then i will get to be me witch also involves writing music that they do not approve of. can't wait.
Favorite member by far is Billy Joe Armstrong. I have so much respect for that man as a person and as an artist. You'd need to pass Saturn to reach it, it's that high. Favorite song? Probably American Idiot. I likely wouldn't have questioned my status as an American without that song coming out, let alone the entire album. Although, the one song I know on guitar is "Good Riddance". I end up playing it whenever I screw up enough times on a song, or horribly enough. The opening mistake bars are a good way to get my hands working properly again.
I don't really have a favorite band member. They all seem like pretty cool humans and I respect them all. If I had to choose, though, I'd probably say Billie Joe Armstrong just because we both play guitar. Lame reason, I know. As far as songs go, my favorite is Jesus of Suburbia. I love the energy and I think the lyrics are incredibly interesting. I listened to it a lot before I came out as a trans guy. At the time, I was depressed and angry about my current situation. The song really helped me. The line "There's nothing wrong with me. This is how I'm supposed to be. In a land of make believe that don't believe in me" expressed what I was feeling perfectly and it felt like someone finally understood it. Sorry this post ended up being kinda long/sappy/depressing.
I like them. I just got their album quattro omg it is so different from international superhits. I don't really like it :/ international superhits and American Idiot and 21 guns are the only ones I like.
