Not yet. She hasn't been online. I know her evenings are busy with her child, and I need to stop fretting. We'll see what happens.

Just about any other person, I'd be concerned that I wouldn't hear from them again - that they would ghost. Oddly that is something we have discussed and we agree that ghosting is unkind in nearly every situation. So I know I will hear something when she is available.

Early morning update: she responded. God, it's hard to explain. It wasn't a reciprocal response, but it was still so - loving. And lovely. And so incredibly positive.

I am so grateful for all of you lovely people.

Yay for a lovely response. The thing is it doesn't have to reciprocal because that wasn't why you said it and that will come in time

This is exactly right. She and I are on the same page in so many ways; we can't be perfectly in sync all the time. And that doesn't mean I have to hold back and not say what I feel.

I've been listening to the Wicked soundtrack recently, and the song "For Good" keeps coming around for me; it is so accurate.

That is such a beautiful way to be able to look at it . My favourite song from Wicked is defying gravity.

I love Defying Gravity - it is so powerful. It is the message so many people need - to deconstruct what we've been told is real and necessary, and to build our own truth.

Me too! My best friend growing up loved musicals and I cannot stand them. I get it, they aren't real- but I just cannot get my mind around the whole town spontaneously breaking out into a song and dance number. "O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A... no thanks!"

Also @driedroses, I am so glad to hear everything worked out and things continue to go well for you!

I love musicals, as does my (gay) ex husband and three out of four of my kids. What can I say?

I love musicals too, and how much fun songs are to sing along to is always how I chose the ones I like.

Well, Joseph always has a special place in my heart because it was the first one I ever saw (and then drove my brother mad by constantly playing the songs on repeat). The book of Mormon I found hilarious, and I love the way they do the animals in Lion King, but when we were in New York we saw Chicago and that was brilliant.

I saw Joseph in Chicago when Donny Osmond was still headlining the show. I wish I had a better appreciation for it, but honestly it was a field trip for school (public school at that!) and I just did not care. Take me to the museums, botanical gardens, and the planetarium any day!

And @Soundofmusic my sister's favorite musical is Sound of Music. Our inside joke has now become to say we are "von trapped" whenever we are put in a situation we would rather not be...

    Ok, carry on.
