you guys... Ever since i came out, i havent REALLY been attracted to anyone after my "trigger" broke my heart. Ive gone on some dates and have found women attractive, but i havent had a real crush... until, now...

This woman is so cute, wears glasses (my weakness), super smart, interesting, runs a startup, very social, and ive known her for about 2 years now and while i dont see her often, every time i do, something about her is magnetic.

Today i went to an art gallery opening and coincidentially she was there. As usual, she was very friendly and warm. She told me i looked really great (maybe cause ive recently lost some weight) and i was swooning. We didnt talk for long but i swear she was looking at me from the other side of the bar for the rest of the night.

Thing is, all signs point to her being straight. I dont know many people in common with her since shes from a different city and is older, but nothing in her social media indicates shes into women. Ughhhhhh. Straight girlssss

Anyways, its exciting to share i have a crush since i was beginning to think something was wrong with me. Just wish she was into me lol

Aw, that's actually very sweet! I do hope that she's interested and the two of you can connect in some way. And how do you know she's not gay, or bi or queer?

I am in a very similar situation, although my crush is definitely a lesbian, but she lives 1800 miles away and I'm not sure what to do about the situation. So, yeah, I feel you. It sucks so hard and it makes my heart ache.

I've also met other women who I'm not sure about (straight, bi, or gay), and it hurts my heart.

I guess I don't. But queer women are hard to find and/or identify where I live.

She deff gives off vibes though because the first time my best friend met her, she asked me if she was gay.

ughh. so difficult. Especially because we're into femme women, who are SO hard to identify.

And I'm very femme myself so I'm hard to ID too.

    Its very frustrating. :frowning2:

I feel you! Completely. None of this is straightforward or easy at all. Soon I'll be trying to meet women online if nothing else magically materializes.

Yes, this. I've seen meetups especially for femme LBT women. Building up courage to go to one.

Well, advantage and disadvantage. The dating "scene" in New York City is vast so the numbers are on your side, BUT it can be super creepy from what I hear. LOTS of crazies.

Anytime I'm in NYC and go on dating apps, I'm always overwhelmed by the amount of people there are. Didn't know about the crazies though.

BTW, I'm trying to get the hell out of dodge and Ive been applying to jobs in NYC for a while now. Ive always wanted to live there, it makes sense for my career progression and I feel like I'm never gonna meet anyone where I live. Just a sidenote lol

Booooo. Shirtless guys. Why do straight people have to flaunt their sexuality so much. I mean, I don't mind if you're straight, but please keep it private and not all in my face.

Labels mean absolutely nothing. That way of self thinking will get you absolutely no where. Formulate a plane to see if there is something there. Meet for drinks or some other social event. Start building a took kit of ways to get to know a person and see if there is something there.

I cannot think of any straight woman who posts pics of shirtless guys so often. Something must be special about her. Maybe she is a gay guy ;-)

I never understood why people do not just ask lol. Maybe that's just me, sometimes I ask just to know, not necessarily trying to hook up with that person.

While we are having a conversation, jokingly, I would say,
1 who has you all in love, what is their name.
2 Sometimes I flat out ask do you have a girl or boy
3 one time I was like someone thinks your cute but I told them I wasn't sure if you have someone, what's his or her name.
4 you are too awesome to be single, I know you have a girl/boy in love with you.
Some people just lie because their nervous so there isn't to much you can do about that. 9/10 this works
I have had girls and guys ask me in the same way and it works pretty well without making the other person feel awkward

I could walk up to a stranger and ask these questions. I guess It depends on how confident you are. I use to literally just go to the beach with friends and just walk up and talk to random people I didn't know. I learned that many people will not say anything to you but they like you, so it's like everyone is waiting on someone else to make the move but noone does because their all thinking does he/she like me or not.
